Voice over: Our program will start any minute from now. All the contestants,
guests and students are requested to come inside the venue and take your seats.
Emcee 1: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! We are here once again to
celebrate the day of unity and solidarity of all the countries of the world. And that
is the United Nations Day!
Emcee 2: We will soon learn who will be the deserving title holders as this morning
is filled with expectation! I’m _____________.
Emcee 1: And I'm (______________). And this is
BOTH: EPCLC United Nations Celebration 2022 with the Theme: International Year
of Sustainable Mountain Development!
Emcee 2: And this juncture, we would like to request everyone to stand for our
invocation by Sir ____________________ and Philippine National Anthem led by
Ma’am ___________________.
Emcee 1: let us first invoke and thank our Almighty God this morning, (Prayer)

Emcee 1: On October 24, 1945, 51 countries joined forces to form the
intergovernmental organization known as the United Nations. 77 years later, we
commemorate this milestone that has led to breakthroughs in
international peace and cooperation. We recognize this as we hold today our
annual United Nations Day Celebration.
Emcee 2: To our school President, Rev. Doc. Emiliano P. Pineda Jr.; our school Vice-
President, Ma’am Myrna T. Pineda; honorable teachers and staff, our parents,
friends, a pleasant morning to all of you!
Emcee 1: In many countries all around the world, people celebrate UN
Day with national costumes, flag-making, and other showcases of cultural
appreciation — making it an event that everyone of us looks forward to. While this
year's circumstances are far from ideal, no pandemic will prevent us from
honoring this significant day with the theme: “International Year of
Sustainable Mountain Development!"
Emcee 2: The world, and the Philippines, are at crossroads – but crossroads allow
us to step up and make the correct decisions, both internationally and
within countries. When we recover more effectively to create a more equitable
and sustainable society, we also set the groundwork for development, human
rights, and peace.
Emcee 1: We may only be a small fraction of the whole world but that does not
inhibit us from making small changes that can lead to larger impacts.
While we celebrate UN Day annually, may we not only remember such celebration
with all the festivities within our institution. Let us bear in our minds and hearts
that this day is a gleaming reminder that we are men and women for others. We
join hand in hand to make the world a better place as a tribute to the past
generations, for the well-being of the present, and in hopes for the future.
Emcee 2: With this, we formally welcome you to this year’s United Nations Day
Celebration. May you take delight in the universality and interconnectedness for
which the UN advocates, as well as the opportunity to take action to create a more
