In today’s lesson, we will look at what adverbs are and how to


use them then, do exercises to make sure that you understand the
lesson.
An adverb is a word/set of words that modifies verbs, adjectives,
and other adverbs. It tells when, where, and how an action is
performed or indicates the quality or degree of the action.
You may refer to the Adverb song if you have an internet connection.

Choose the appropriate verb form for each sentence. Write your
answers on a sheet of paper.

✓ A word that tells us the way or how
something is done. It answers the
question how.
✓ Most adverbs of manner are formed from
adjectives.
Examples:

silent – silently slow – slowly
