Product Data Cardiac X-Ray Analysis Applications

June 2004 S18021 CA/SA/VA

Introduction
CardioVascular X-Ray Analysis
Applications are optional software
packages, that consist of Vessel Stenosis
Analysis and Left Ventricle Function
Analysis packages. They both run on the
Advantage Workstation.

Cardiovascular X-Ray Analysis

applications can be conducted on XA
DICOM modality images acquired with a
GE Vascular system belonging to the
Innova Digital Flat Panel family.

Application Description
Stenosis Analysis
Stenosis Analysis is an application
designed for estimating vessel
dimensions and relevant parameters of
the arterial Stenosis morphology in X-ray
angiography. It is an expert tool
applicable on:
- cardiac vessels
- peripheral vessels in subtracted
format
Based on the user’s manual identification
of the vessel to be analyzed, the software
automatically detects the vessel edges and perform Wall Motion and Global Requirements
displays the stenosis severity. Ejection Fraction (GEF).
- Wall Motion analysis is built upon - Advantage Workstation 4.2
In order to display measurements in
the centerline method. - Innova Digital Flat Panel X-ray system
millimeters, the operator needs to
perform calibration. It can either be done: - GEF analysis provides results
calculated with both the Simpson’s Regulatory Compliance
- automatically, based on the known
system geometry, rule method and the Dodge-Sandler The CardioVascular X-Ray Analysis
- from an empty catheter present in area-length method. Applications is CE marked (Medical
the image to analyze. Devices Directive 93/42/EEC).
