SENSITIVITY
Mix, incubate for 25 min at 15-25°C or 10 min at 37°C. Measure lt is recommended that each laboratory establishes its own range
the absorbance of the standard (A sandard) and the sample (A of sensitivity as this is limited by the sensicivicy of the
sample) against the reagent blank within spectrophotometer used. Under the conditions of the assay a
60 minutes. Although the absorbance may be read at any time change of 0.01 absorbance units is equivalent to
up to 60 minutes after the specified incubation time, the time 0.013 mmol/l (0.23 mg/dl).
interval from sample addition to read time must be exactly the
same for Standard/Control and Sample. REFERENCES

QUALITY CONTROL
Randox Assayed Multi-sera, Level 2 and Level 3 are recommended
for daily quality control. Two levels of controls should be assayed
at least once a day. Values obtained should fall within a specified
range. If these values fall outside the range and repetition excludes
error, the following steps should be taken:
. Check instrument settings and light source
2. Check cleanliness of all equipment in use.
3. Check water, contaminants i.e. bacterial growth may contribute
to inaccurate results.
4. Check reaction temperature.
5. Check expiry date of kit and contents.
