Interviewing Tips For Success
Speak, dress, and act in a way that reflects you at your best. How you present yourself
(professional attire, body language, etc.) and how you communicate is extremely important.
Provide relevant examples. As you prepare for an interview, print the job description and
qualifications and think about times you’ve demonstrated that skill.
Be prepared to think on your feet. You may be asked a question that surprises you. Don't get
frustrated. Pause briefly to gather your thoughts and respond with confidence.
Keep in touch after the interview. Take time to write a thank you note or email to the
interviewer and share again your interest in the position.
Bring extra copies of your resume. Print copies of your resume to give the interviewer(s) and
use as a reference during your interview.
Thank the interviewer for taking the time to meet with you.
Ask for a business card or email address so you know how to contact the interviewer.
Send a thank you note or email.
