Motivation Letter

MSc Project Management

"Look at the labels on the clothes you are wearing". My college teacher started by allowing

us to appreciate the work that went into producing our clothes, emphasizing the journey each

item underwent before arriving in that classroom. I have lived an ordinary life, learnt from

every mistake that I have ever made, concluded every situation with an upcoming bigger

picture. I am Adeel Azam, who has strived all along his vitality, by being rigidly determined to

achieve the goals, ever set forth. I have studied mathematics in the high school with algebra

my favorite topic. In physics; motion & force, light & work, energy and power has always been

my favorite topics in college.

After my college, I started volunteering myself where I did several managerial duties. While

growing up my enthusiasm for a business-related subject came from watching people how

they run a small and successful businesses. When I completed my 12 years of education, I

decided to be an entrepreneur because business was the only field that grabbed my attention.

The extensive assortment of career path and the chance to contribute to society through

technological innovation, for me is one of the reasons to start business studies as under

graduation major. Exposure of students to an area of research undoubtedly helps them

explore career fields.

I started my professional career as a banker, which developed the key skills in me. My first

handful experience was in Summit Bank where I got to deal with the customers; their queries
and providing solutions with customer satisfaction. Through this practical experience, I learnt

that the skill to manage people efficiently is the key to being productive in any business. Then,

I switched to another job in Bank Al-Habib where my duties were to visit the potential clients,

assist the bank in executing marketing campaign and accounts management. The journey of

delivering presentations initiated during my bachelor study, which boosted my confidence in

public speaking helped a lot during this job. I have been working as an Accounts Officer at a

Newspaper Agency for nearly a year, where I experienced how a newspaper agency operates.

I built good working relationships with my colleagues, furthermore, I am able to manage petty

cash transactions and reconciling finance accounts.

Now, I plan to take my education to next level where I get to study the specialized subjects

through my master program. Course combination at this level is the only criteria for me to

choose any institution and your Master of Project Management program is exactly in line with

my interest. The courses like “Project Risk Management”, “Strategic Management &

Sustainability”, “Project Management Fundamentals” along with “Leadership and Ethics” are

the ones which I was really fond of. These set of modules with this combination it is offering

is not available at any other university. An additional perspective behind my choice of

University of the West of Scotland is based upon the highly competent faculty of University

of the West of Scotland which is very appealing to me and their well-versed reputation. A

degree from a world class institution will allow me to compete in this competitive era by not

only providing me in depth knowledge but also through a multi-cultural experience.

I set goals beyond those of my peers. As for my future plans, I will settle with my own business

in the end. Pakistan is a huge potential market of 220 Million people where any start up can

get a plenty of opportunities to succeed. Besides motivation, opportunity is equally important


to get through any challenge as a startup and knowledge at this advanced level will open the

window for this opportunity. Equipped with the specialist knowledge I will gain from your

university’s course, as well as the cross-cultural understanding that living in the England

provides me, I expect to be able to progress smoothly into a career when I graduate. Studying

business management can improve one’s ability to analyze data, improve financial decisions

and make better predictions about business decisions.

I hope to develop the language skills, leadership and organizational abilities, cultural

understanding and professional expertise that will make me an effective and successful

businessperson. I am well-prepared to face the challenge of studying in your university, and I

have the determination to realize my goals and complete my studies successfully.
