Poomse (Form) Competition
Beg. = 10th7th gup (White/Yellow/Orange) Int. = 6th4th gup (Green/Purple/Blue) Adv. = 3rd1st gup (Brown/Red/Navy) Black = All Dan (Degree) and Poom (Junior) Black Belts * indicates that Black belts are included in Advanced
Any traditional competition form will be accepted. Judging will be based on the technique, accuracy, balance, coordination, and concentration demonstrated by the competitor. A complete copy of the rules will be available at the event. Division Age Level Gender

Breaking Competition

Boards must be purchased at the tournament. Competitors must provide their own holders. Two attempts to break. Judging is based on the number of times each break is attempted, superiority of technique, number of targets successfully broken, and difficulty level. A complete copy of the rules will be available at the event.

Divisions: Same as Poomse (Forms) Gyoroogi Olympic Sparring Competition


Modified rules of the WTF will govern this competition. Excessive contact that results in abrasion or bleeding may be grounds for disqualification (Referees discretion). A complete copy of the rules will be available at the event. Division Age Level Gender

Point Sparring Competition


Traditional point sparring rules will govern this competition. No hands to the head/face. Excessive contact, as determined by the Referee, will result in penalty or disqualification. The first competitor to earn three (3) points within the two (2) minute round will be determined the winner. A complete copy of the rules will be available at the event. Division Age Level Gender

GENERAL INFORMATION
Eligibility: Mandatory and Recommended Equipment:
Competitors must be in good standing with a recognized Martial Arts school or club.

Registration: Entry Fees:

Pre-registration is encouraged in order to save time and money on the day of the event. Deadline for pre-registration is September 17, 2011. Postmarked by September 17, 2011: $50 for 2 events, $5 for each additional event Postmarked after September 17: $55 for 2 events, $5 for each additional event Mail to: Ahn Taekwondo Institute, 11100 Kenwood Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242 Top quality trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Forms, Breaking and Point Sparring. 1st, 2nd, and two 3rd place trophies will be awarded for Olympic Sparring. Participation medals will be given to competitors under the age of 12 if they do not place.
