Introduction to Chitra Ramayanam

Valmiki Ramayanam is an epic worth reading everyday. This is an attempt


to depict Ramayanam through pictures to the youngsters of the modern
world. Children will learn all the principles and tenets to be followed in their
life. Children learn faster and easier through pictures and their learning will
get etched in their minds faster.
This book “Chitra Ramayanam”was authored by U.Ve.V.Vijayaraghavachari
of Kumbakonam. This contains pictures of the Ramayana story, with brief
notes on each scene. This was first published in the year 1936.The book
contains 220 pictures numbered seriatim, with notes in English explaining
the pictures. These notes form the synopsis of the Ramayana history.
