q4 Ia Eim 9 Week 1
In this lesson the students are expected to identify different tools used in installing telephone terminal cabinets and how to properly use it.
The cabinet according to the Philippine Electrical Code must have doors and are thus distinguished from large boxes with covers consisting of plates
attached with screws and bolts. Generally, inside terminal rooms are preferred. This allows access to power to telephone equipment. Cabinets that
should be used must be approved by the authorities prior to installation. One isolated 20 Amp breaker circuit extended to the plywood backboard
inside the cabinet must be provided. All accesses have handles to accommodate a padlock.

A. Direction: Identify the following figures. Choose your answer from the words given inside the box below. Write your answer on your answer sheet.
The Cabinet, according to the Philippine Electrical Code must have doors and are thus distinguished from large boxes with covers consisting of plates
attached with screws and bolts.
The Philippine Electrical Code requires that all boxes used to enclose operating apparatus, i.e., Apparatus having moving parts or requiring inspection
or attention.

E. Engagement (Time Frame: Day 3 40-60 mins)
18. fastening devices: used to hold frames, system and cabinet in place.
A. Make sure that you are familiar with the proper use of each tool and how to use each tool appropriately in a given task. Skilled use of tools and
equipment makes the job less difficult and ensures that tasks are performed properly and safely.
A. Below are some procedures in installing a telephone terminal cabinet. Write the tool/s or equipment needed for each procedure.
B. Demonstrate the proper use of at least 5 tools or material used in telephone terminal cabinet installation. Video yourself while doing this activity.
You can be creative on your video; you may insert sounds and effects as well as texts to emphasize important information.
⮚ Upload your video in your class Facebook page or directly send a message to your teacher.
⮚ The video must be at least 5 minutes.
⮚ Refer to the rubrics below.
F. Assimilation (Time Frame: Day 20-30mins)
For every job, there is the right tool. Make sure that you are familiar with the correct use of each tool and that the correct tool is used for the current
task. Skilled use of tools and equipment makes the job less difficult and ensures that tasks are performed properly and safely.
It is also important that we know the classification of each tool. Classification helps bring together similar devices and co ncepts, even when different
terms have been used to describe them.
A. Classify each tool according to their use.

VI. REFLECTION (Time Frame: _________)
Communicate your personal assessment as indicated in the Learner’s Assessment Card.
Personal Assessment on Learner’s Level of Performance
Using the symbols below, choose one which best describes your experience in working on each given task. Draw it in the column for Level of Performance
(LP). Be guided by the descriptions below:
- I was able to do/perform the task without any difficulty. The task helped me in understanding the target content/ lesson.
- I was able to do/perform the task. It was quite challenging, but it still helped me in understanding the target content/lesson.
? – I was not able to do/perform the task. It was extremely difficult. I need additional enrichment activities to be able to do/perform this task.
