ABSTRACT

Cooking is a significant home activity that requires energy. Traditionally, solid

fuels such as firewood and charcoal have been utilised to provide energy for cooking.

Even with the introduction of many modern electric stoves, gas-based cooking continues

to dominate the kitchen space in the majority of Malaysian houses. Many skilled chefs

use gas burners to prepare a wide range of delectable dishes. Gas stoves, unlike electric

stoves, do not require a set heating period—as soon as you switch them on, the fire will

flare up and you can begin cooking. In fact, many people prefer to view the size or

colour of the fire to gauge the degree of heat necessary. Gas stoves are available in a

variety of sizes, number of burners and models, different types of combustion, heat

rates, and aesthetics ranging from plain to contemporary. This research was carried out

in order to create a contemporary gas stove with characteristics that allow food to be

cooked more rapidly and securely. It also includes a single component drawing for each

component that is accessible.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

1.1 Introduction to The Product Information

Our product is a gas stove. We name our product as WITYA GGS2000. This

mechanical device is made up of eight components: a pan support, a burner cap, a burner

head, a burner body, a burner cover, a knob, and then a gas inlet. Our gas stove operates by

burning natural gas, propane, butane, or liquefied petroleum gas. When these fuels burn, hot

air is produced, which warms the surrounding region. This hot air is responsible for cooking

the food being cooked. Natural gas is a methane and carbon dioxide combination. It burns

cleanly and emits no hazardous by-products.

The WITYA GGS2000 is a stainless-steel gas stove. Stainless steel stoves are more

robust than glass stoves and do not have the risk of exploding. The WITYA GGS2000 is a

two-burner gas stove with a huge, powerful flame on the right. The left side has a more

uniform flame (infrared) for customizing different cooking techniques. This WITYA gas

stove is 7.7kg in weight. Despite being a built-in gas stove, it has rubber feet for stability. As

a result, consumers may simply set it on the kitchen counter and utilise it. Furthermore, the

WITYA GGS2000 is highly adaptable. It can accommodate various cut-out sizes and is ideal

for replacing your old built-in gas stove. There's no need to be concerned that it won't fit your

present cut-out size. This WITYA gas stove features two 3.7kW burners that can be used

concurrently, making it ideal for stir-frying and conserving gas. The burner has a semi-double

ring design that distributes heat more evenly.

The existence of this gas stove in the globe, in our opinion, demonstrates that technology

in this century is quite advanced. Similarly, the advancement of technology has demonstrated

the importance of technology in our lives. This technology is not only visually appealing, but

it is also functional and makes our business lives easier.

1
1.2 Problem Statement

The issues and questions that we have while we work to complete this project were;

i. What would be the ideal requirements for a gas stove?

ii. How is the gas stove functioned?

iii. Could a gas stove speed up the cooking process?

iv. What type of energy does the gas stove consume?

v. What would be the recommended measurements for each component of the gas

stove?

1.3 Objective

The objective of this project is:

i. To create a gas stove that will make cooking more efficient and secure.

ii. To determine the most suitable and appropriate measurement for each

component of the gas stove.

iii. To create a 2D and 3D drawing of the gas stove and verify that each component

of the gas stove is connected to the others.

CHAPTER 2: DRAWING PROCESS

2.1 Measurement Method

When producing high-precision components and devices, it is critical to ensure that

the machine meets the dimensions and tolerances required by the designer. The type of

dimensional inspection device used for a specific application is determined by a number of

factors, including:

i. The degree of accuracy required.

ii. Whether or not the object can be touched during the measurement process.

iii. The physical and surface aspects of the object

iv. The object's transparency or opaqueness.

Hand tools are used as dimensional inspection equipment in our project. This is due

to the fact that these devices are the most basic and widespread sort of measurement

equipment. Hand tools continue to be quite effective in the majority of dimensional

inspection applications. To begin, we sketch the gas stove on paper with the most basic hand

tools employed by designers, a pencil and a ruler. The design is then transferred to the

AutoCAD software. We use AutoCAD to mark every line in our design and automatically

generate the dimensions.

19
CHAPTER 4: DISCUSSION & RECOMMENDATION

4.1 MEASUREMENT ISSUES AND RECOMMENDATION

We built our model, the WITYA GGS2000, employing two representations in this

project. There are two types of representations: 2D modelling and 3D modelling. The

component of the gas stove was represented using a standard set of 2D orthographic views

such as plan, elevations, and sections. The user may choose the degree of realism or

symbolism of each of the 2D graphical views, allowing us to maintain consistency across the

perspectives for each component. As a result, it will be easier for us to draw all of the

components into a 3D model later on. In CAD software, numerous commands such as lines,

arc, polygon, dimensioning, array, trim, and so on may be used to produce 2D modelling. All

of them were needed to construct 2D modelling before moving on to the next phase of

developing 3D modelling sections.

All of the same components were then rendered as a 3D model, both separately (per

component) and as a single entire model with all of the components drawn together. Solid

editing, align, slice, extrude, union, revolve, solid profile, and move are some helpful 3D

modelling commands. A primitive solid is altered into the required shape in 3D modelling

based on the component geometry. Because all pieces are created in 3D (solid), solid

modelling is essential in this project to provide a more practical approach for the gas stove.

The advantage of this method is that it allows us to easily transition from a 2D to a 3D

perspective. Additionally, it will appear more realistic. In this section, we may connect all of

the sections to a single unified view of the gas stove.

Throughout the drafting process, there are various challenges with measuring the

project. First, we confront a difficulty with in which we are all puzzled and doubtful about the

measurements of the gas stove, which leads to differences in measurement. But we manage to

20
avoid this issue by holding a group discussion before moving on to the next phase in the

drafting process.

4.2 DRAWING ISSUES AND RECOMMENDATION

We encountered drawing issues throughout the orthographic drawing procedure,

since we were needed to design three distinct angles. As a result, we must consider each

component from many perspectives. The advice is to execute the command that allows us to

adjust the angle of view for the component that we have previously completed. Rather than

sketching it one by one, this will save us time. However, keep in mind that not all

components may use the same way since some portions of the gas stove must be drawn from

each perspective.

There are a few sections that we may describe to as crucial parts; these parts are

tough to design and coordinate since we wanted it to be precise in reality, such as the burner

body and cover. These components take long since it takes a lot of trial and error to get the

perfect piece of artwork that looks realistic enough for us. We recommend drawing these

components individually before merging them using the move and union commands. Things

will be much simpler if this strategy is employed.

21
CONCLUSION

Consequently, gas stoves are a popular and effective cooking option since they heat up

rapidly and give accurate temperature control. They are also frequently less expensive to run

than electric stoves. They do, however, require a gas connection and might pose a safety risk

if not properly maintained. Overall, gas stoves may be a terrific alternative for individuals

who value speed and control in their cooking, but it is critical to consider the advantages and

downsides and take adequate safety precautions.

Since its introduction in the 19th century, gas stoves have gone a long way. Modern gas

stoves have features like precise temperature control, self-ignition, and safety measures. They

also use less energy than their predecessors. With the growing desire for environmentally

friendly and sustainable appliances, the future of gas stoves is expected to witness significant

developments in this area. However, the safety problems associated with gas stoves must to

be addressed. Overall, the evolution of gas stoves has made them a diverse and practical

alternative for cooking, and they will continue to grow and advance with further study and

invention.
