Check the floor consistence which must be strong enough to hold the unit.
In the floor is not strong enough, you should think of the best solution.
Before starting to install the unit in the room, you should check that its dimensions allow to
install the unit and to operate it (See Paragraph_B.2.1. Dimensions).
2 – Make fixing holes (n°4 tilting table holes + n°10 Column holes ), starting with a drill of
5mm diameter and enlarge it after if necessary.
Use metallic dowels of 12mm diameter for table and 8mm diameter for tube stand.

PREVENTIVE SERVICING
- We recommend you to carefully check every year, the condition of steel ropes of the stand
and verify that they are not wearied, in that case you MUST REPLACE them.
- We recommend you to carefully check every year the draft of the chain of tilting table,
This verifying it’s made by dynamometric key set at 18Nm.
F.2 CLEANING
• Cleaning must be made at regular intervals with the equipment turned OFF:
After every examination, clean all parts that have been in contact with the
patient with a disinfectant product approved by the Ministry of Health .
Every week clean the painted metallic and plastic parts, minding to use a proper
cleaning solution especially for the plastic parts.
Use cleaning products properly and avoid to let them penetrate inside the unit.
G. Setup
In order to have access to set up functions, push contemporary for more than 5
seconds the push buttons indicated in the following drawing.
Attention: In case the unit suddenly turns off during a set-up procedure, you might
have checksum errors in EPROM memory. In this case an error message will be
displayed and you must repeat set up procedure because it has not been completed.
Once you enter Setup program, display will show main menu.

2) Offset Calibration
Enter CARRIAGE/SHUTTER Æ CARRIAGE OFFSET menu. Once you have entered, the
chariot automatically reaches the panoramic position of a cm 30x30 cassette. At this
point you can insert offset value by means of KV+ KV- keys.; then memorize this data
by pushing SAVE & EXIT key.
Offset value is given in mm and it is obtained by measuring the difference between
the centre of X-ray field and film centre. If film centre does not reach X-ray field
centre, offset must be inserted with a + positive value , while if film centre goes over
the centre of X-ray field, offset must be inserted with a – negative sign.
SHUTTERS SETUP
Shutters set up consists in the following operations:
1)Movement Calibration
Enter CARRIAGE/SHUTTER menu, at this point shutters automatically search for
parking position, which shall be used as 0 reference.
Now, if you select CARRIAGE/SHUTTER Æ SHUTTER menu, diaphragms make a
sample movement. Once the shutters stop, you must measure the distance of the
movement and insert it by means of KV+ KV- keys.; then memorize this data by
pushing SAVE & EXIT key.
you must insert offset with a – negative value, if real opening is less than theoretical
one, you must insert offset with a + positive value.
COLLIMATOR SETUP
Enter COLLIMATOR menu, at this point you can make the following operations:
1) MANUAL CONTROL
By selecting this option you disable electronic collimator
2) AUTOMATIC CONTROL
By selecting this option you enable electronic collimator. If you immediately exit
from this page, the unit will use operational parameters already existing in its
memory. If you wish to make a new collimator setting, you need to go on with set
up program and follow the instructions that appear on the display.
Enter AUTOMATIC CONTROL menu in order to make collimator set-up.
Start by positioning the SFD to the minimum possible distance from table top, then
memorize the value of focal distance potentiometer by choosing 1) STORE .
Now the display will show a message asking you to place the SFD to the maximum
distance from table top, then memorize the value of focal distance potentiometer
by choosing 1) STORE .
At this point the program will automatically make the calibration of minimum and
maximum collimator opening , by closing and opening shutters completely.
After this operation the display will show a message asking you to manually place
the collimator, by means of joystick, at an opening of 300x300 mm at the
maximum focal distance. Then memorize this position by choosing 1) STORE .
Now the display will ask you to repeat the same operation at an opening of
300x300 mm at the minimum focal distance. Memorize this value by choosing 1)
STORE .
To make these last two points of calibration easier , we supply with the manual a
template with the drawings of the squares which correspond to an opening of mm
300x300 at maximum and minimum of focal distance. You just need to put this
template of the see-trough surface of collimator, turn on the internal bulb, by
giving a direct or alternated power supply of MAX 24Vac-dc to the only two wires
of collimator cable which are not connected to J7. Then position diaphragms until
Technical Manual ( M26_04 ) G/6
IMX-5A CLINOMAT
3) OFFSET COLLIMATOR
To calibrate collimator offset, enter OFFSET COLLIMATOR menu and modify the
displayed value by means of KV+ KV- and confirm the value by pushing
1)STORE/EXIT key.
NOTE: Collimator offset causes an increase of X-ray field opening dimension on film
plane of all cassette sizes of a value in mm indicated by the offset parameter. This
value is useful to compensate mechanical flexions in order to avoid to see shutters on
film.
2) TYPE 9”/6”/4.5”INCH
Attention: once you select !!!CONFIRM!!! function all previous settings will be
cancelled and replaced with default settings.
1) PCB TEST
On this page you can select the here below functions:
2) KEYBOARD/LED
It enables you to check keyboard and leds, if you push the keys you hear a beep
and the relevant led will turn on.
3) DIGITAL INPUT
It enables you to check X-ray push button and cassette loading – unloading push
button.
4) JOYSTICK
It enables you to visualize joystick value.
5) FORMAT SENSOR
It enables you to visualize in real time the status of format sensor.
From SIMULATION 30X24 menu, you can start simulation of a 30x24 program divided
by 6. This program will keep on going on and on , you need to turn off the equipment
in order to make it stop.
