YOUTUBE LAUNCH CHECKLIST
A STEP-BY-STEP ROADMAP TO START YOUTUBE CHANNEL
As a beginner, you have to be focused to make it clear for Youtube and for your first
subscribers what your area of expertise is.
Speaking about your daily routine is not for beginner YouTubers, it’s more for people who
already have a tribe of raving fans. Your first ideas should be around solving the problems your
audience has. Research on other channels, forums, Q&A sites and on Google to have a list of
about 10 ideas to start with.
To be consistent (which is very important on Youtube), you have to know what you will publish
in the next 4 weeks and upload at least one video per week
SEO is the key to your success as a beginner YouTuber. You have to find related keywords for
each of your video topics and make sure you don’t choose too competitive focus keyword – it
will be too hard to compete for it with a new channel.
You can always change this later but making a good impression on your first potential
subscribers is very important. You don’t have enough social proof yet, so people will judge by
the looks of your channel, and everything else.
What do your subscribers need to know about you to make a decision to subscribe? What
makes your content unique and interesting? Make sure to emphasize it!
2
Publish your first video
Don’t look for a perfect topic for your first video. Just start with something! First videos will be
always far from perfection. You will learn all you need while doing it!
As soon as you published your video, watch it fully and like it. If you have a couple of Google
accounts, view the video with each account (fully) and like it. When your first real viewers
come to see it, it will have at least a few likes, which is better than 0.
Tell everyone you know about your channel and ask them to subscribe, ask them to engage on
your video as soon as you published it.
Comments are a very important engagement factor that can help your videos show up in
related videos, rank higher and even go viral. So, encourage your viewers to ask questions and
dedicate some time daily to reply to all the comments
Make a public promise (even to your subscribers) to release a new video once a week on a
specific day. Nothing can help you better in fighting procrastination and being more efficient
with your time management, as a public promise and a deadline.

PHASE #1: GE TTING STARTED
Make a simple, short, and easy to remember channel name (you can change this as well) You
can use your Name or a Brand Name.
Don't forget your Channel Tags, this is critical, most people don't do this in the beginning!
Have a PROFESSIONAL looking channel art. Use Canva If you need to but you can outsource
using Fivver.com
Remember that your channel art needs to describe what your channel is about and what value
you have to offer!
A Nice Profile picture for your channel helps.
Know exactly why people should be subscribing to your channel. Once you answer this
question, you will know what your audience needs.

have to do is stay consistent and post as often as you can. When I first started I tried posting a video
