4. If the library adds 50 new books, what would be the ratio of new books to old
books?

5. Jenny bought a bag of gummy worms and hard candies. In the bag, the ratio of
gummy worms to hard candies is 3 to 5. What is the fraction of hard candies in the
bag?

6. A school has a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1. If the school has 22 teachers, how


many students are at the school?

7. A recipe says to add a ratio of 3 cups of water to every 2 cups of rice. If John adds 6
cups of rice, how much water should he add?

For questions 8-11, consider the following information: Mrs. Markle has a jar of green, red,
and blue marbles on her desk. In the jar, the ratio of green to red to blue marbles is 3:2:4.
