TYPE OF TASK: Interview


ROLES: Reporter and citizen
PURPOSE: Provide and request information about the citizen’s habits, traditions, and customs in Medellín.
PROMPT: You are a news reporter working on a new article about habits and traditions of Medellin´s inhabitants.
You must conduct interviews to adults in different main neighborhoods of the city (Belén, Aranjuez, Boston, etc.)
about their and their family’s habits and traditions.
The task requires the following aspects:
1. The task will be in pairs, and you will be randomly assigned a classmate the same day the oral task is
programmed.
2. Provide a detailed description of the habits and traditions you and your family members have.
3. Provide a description of the location ad schedules where and when these habits and traditions take place.
4. Describe why it is considered a tradition.
5. Be prepared to ask and answer questions about the topic.
6. Time assigned: 2 minutes each pair.
