I. Rationale:

In support of the implementation of the K to 12 Basic Education Program, the Department

of Education (DepEd) is continuously fulfilling its mandate to produce productive and responsible
citizens equipped with essential competencies and skills for lifelong learning. To make every
learner a proficient reader; our school are one who tasked. Anchored in the DepEd Memorandum
No. 173, s. 2019 which strongly encouraged to respond to Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa (3Bs
Initiatives) by intensifying their advocacy for reading.
Reading skills are fundamental building blocks of a rounded blocks of a rounded education;
they open up a world of discovery. In young children, the increased use of vocabulary improves
their ability to communicate and to understand the world. Learning to read accelerates this process
of growth. Reading hub offers hundreds of authentic academic readers that can improve language
ability and academic knowledge. A reading space can help build literacy skills such as sentence
structure, punctuation and grammar. This is because, when books are readily available to use,
pupils may be likely to pick them up and read them, which is fantastic for developing important
skills in reading and writing.
Objectives of the Program

1. To raise awareness for Togetherness, We Read and the Importance of Reading.

2. To provide learners with a safe and conducive space for reading.
3. To provides additional strategies and activities to boost reading skills in the areas of
decoding, comprehension, and fluency for struggling reader.

will support new books to the school.

IX: Impact

Pupils will be focus better when they're comfortable, visiting a reading hub where
atmosphere is inviting and conducive to learning. Mural is a virtual tool that enables innovative
teams to collaborate visually and brainstorm solutions to their problems or challenges. Being able
to create simple but comprehensive diagrams and throw ideas down in a virtual, collaborative
space are some of the top reasons innovative teams cite loving this tool.
Good partnership of the school, barangay and other stakeholder became more bond.
Community Schools Partnerships offer communities the opportunity to support the needs of
children and families with an intentional, enhanced and supported academic, social and emotional
health experience in the school setting as well as at other local agency and community-based
sites.
