VI. Rationale :

As mandated in the Presidential Decree (P.D) No. 242 and Republic Act No.
19743 which declares as the National Teachers Day, from September 5- October 5
every year.
In order to give honor to all unsung heroes throughout the world and to
acknowledge their greatest contributions, crucial role, loyal service and dedicated
commitment in developing globally minded citizens, nurturing children,
strengthening communities and building nations especially in these trying times of
pandemic.
With the utmost support of the different sponsors, parents, students, SSG,
school- partners, LGU and other private sector through their funds this activity will
be successful. Thus, we are enjoined to partake this memorable celebration of our
dear Teachers, through school level celebration.

VII. Legal Basis : Republic Act 19743, P.D. Proclamation No. 242

VIII. Objectives : This activity aims to:

1. Acknowledge the role of teachers in the developing and shaping the children, family,
and the nations;
2. Revitalize the image and respect for teaching as vocation by increasing public
awareness on the value of teachers in the Philippines;
3. Generate support and assistance for teachers; and
4. Express gratitude for the positive influence of teachers to Filipino learners.
