ACTIVITY 2:
WHY ARE THE POLICIES OF SPECIAL AND INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IMPORTANT?
Have you see the world without education? Have you see the world of education
without policy? In life it is always about learning but how can we secure ourselves from
learning? As a student it is always important to have policies that makes education pushed
to betterment. People especially students feel so empowered because of policies. For me,
Policies is an action that can help to fulfill the needs of the learners or it can strengthen the
security of the students in terms of learning. But how is it important to all of us?

I am a student for almost 16 years, I understand how education can change who we
are with the help of the policies. Here in our country education is a big deal so through the
implementation of the different policies they are able to make education productive,
secured, and accessible. For me, policies have a huge impact to feel to people that they
have their room for improving that they can able to showcase their talents. As you
observed, here in our country we have the growing population of students in both special
education and inclusive education. Policies would be a great foundation for them to step
up. In inclusive education, policies can give children an opportunity to increase their
socialization so that they can welcome and understand people with the disabilities.
Through this they can have the opportunity and chance to learn something what they
deserve. In special education, policies are one of the important thing that they should have
because this can be their foundation and support. To be honest, inclusive education and
most especially special education cannot stand alone without policy. Special education
includes children with disabilities, giftedness, and talents and with those policies they are
giving chances to students to strive with their weaknesses and prove that they are just more
than that. Those type of education needs to achieved quality education and quality care.
Policy is a support so it is crucial to people. We are living under one sky and it is privilege to
see people striving and learning. Even the life is like a crossroad but we as a Filipinos, we
choose the right path.

Policies can be a great solution to solve problems and challenges in education. Just
like in this module it was listed here many laws and policies and they have their important
roles in education to stay its quality. We are in the modern world, people change, time
changes but education don’t need to change but it needs an improvement and with
those policies they can prove that education is truly improving. If we see the world without
education or policy is a worse thing. Remember that education with policy will be a great
advantage to feel that we are safe and secured. As a future educator this basic
knowledge will improve as the same with the policies and laws.
