Name: Jerome F. Garillos Jr.

Subject: CRIM 4
Write an essay on the following statement:

1. Discuss how the policeman can demonstrate uncompromised performance of duty.

Every citizen must be treated decently, with kindness, and on an

equal footing. A police officer is obligated to carry out all responsibilities
impartially, without favour, love, or malice, regardless of rank, sex, colour,
religion, political beliefs, or aspirations. Officers will never allow
friendships, personal feelings, or enmity to affect their performance of
their official duties. Police must uphold the law correctly and courteously,
and they must try to get the public's full cooperation in carrying out their
tasks. They will conduct themselves in a way that inspires confidence and
respect for the position of public trust they hold, both in terms of
appearance and demeanour.

2. How can a police officer attain professional growth?

Education, training, and carefully reading departmental policies can

all help to improve the professionalism of police officers. Police officers
that have been successfully indoctrinated into the police subculture
exhibit all facets of conventional values and behavioural tendencies. An
employment research revealed a variety of talents that prospective police
officers must possess. They must be capable of clear thinking and good
judgment. They must be capable of making sound decisions. They must
be able to communicate with others. Both their memory and their ability to
observe should be strong. They must possess honesty and be trustworthy
in addition to having the ability to speak effectively and clearly notice an
environment.
3. When can a police officer divulge information that he acquires due to his office?

According to the guiding premise that a public office is a public

trust, the Filipino government has made it a priority to suppress actions
taken by both public officials and ordinary citizens that constitute graft or
corrupt practices or have the potential to do so. Revealing important,
secret information that his office has collected. Unless the execution of
duty or a legal requirement necessitates differently, anything a police
officer sees, hears, or learns of that is of a confidential character will be
kept private. The public's right to security and privacy requires that any
information gathered about them not be unlawfully disclosed.
