US F-5/3.75mm hook or size to obtain gauge

GAUGE
2 rep (5-dc shell, sc, ch-5 sp, sc) = approx 4½”, and
10 rows = approx 4” over pattern after blocking or
when slightly stretched before blocking. Gauge not
critical for this pattern.

FINISHING
Block pieces to measurements. Join front and back at shoulders as follows: Hold pieces with WS tog, and working
from the RS, attach yarn in the outermost sp created by t-ch of front with a sl st (right-most if you are right-handed,
left-most if you are left-handed).
Joining Row: Ch 3, sl st in opposite sp created by t-ch on back, ch 3, sk 2 dc of front, sl st in next dc, ch 3, sk 2 dc of
back, sl st in next dc, *ch 3, sl st in next ch-5 sp of front, ch 3, sl st in next ch-5 sp on back, ch 3, sk 2 dc of front, sl st
in next dc, ch 3, sk 2 dc of back, sl st in next dc; rep from * until shoulder seam measures 8½ (8½, 11, 11, 13½)”, or
desired length. Fasten off.
Turn work with open side edge at right or left to rep Joining Row on rem shoulder.
Sew pieces tog at side seams, working from bottom edge to beg of increases.

ARMHOLE EDGING
Attach yarn at bottom of armhole with a sc. Work 1 rnd of sc around armhole. Join with a sl st in 1st sc. Fasten
off. Rep along rem armhole.

NECK EDGING
Join yarn in front neck edge in last sc of left shoulder seam with a sc.
Rnd 1: Working across front, *ch 3, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 3, sk 2 dc, sc in next dc; rep from * to end of front, ch
3, sc in same sc as last sc of shoulder seam. **Ch 3, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 3, sk 2 dc, sc in next dc; rep from ** to
end of back, ch 3, join rnd with a sl st in 1st sc of rnd.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same sc as sl st, 3 sc in ch-3 sp, *sc in next sc, 3 sc in ch-3 sp; rep from * to end of rnd. Join
rnd with a sl st in 1st sc. Fasten off.
