This document summarizes an action research study conducted by Danielyn D. Gestopa and Mary Joe L. Jamero at Negros Oriental State University Bais Campus II. The study examines how fourth-year Bachelor of Education students are adjusting to the new normal situation of remote and online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. It identifies issues such as difficulty transitioning from classroom to online instruction and establishing routines for remote work. The purpose is to help students better adapt to flexible learning modalities. The researchers will implement activities and collect data to analyze how the new situation impacts students' performance and behavior. They will then draw conclusions and recommendations to improve the adjustment process.

CHAPTER 1

Introduction- In our current environment, when COVID-19 occurred, there was a massive
epidemic that impacts students who are adjusting to a new normal in their studies and pursuing
remote learning and online learning. There are significant changes in classroom settings, and
teachers may perceive this as a challenging role in doing their jobs in terms of the new normal
situation. Students and their loving parents should participate in the adjustment of the new
normal situation to make education flexible, from classroom to college students. As of now, we
are returning to primary education, where we are all returning to our old routines and dealing
with the required tasks. As intern students, we must deal with a variety of attitudes and
behaviors.

The Problem and its Background

Adjustment to getting used in waking up early and going to school should be taken account
because back when modular learning was observed, the pupils were used to talking their time are
responsible for their own schedules when it comes to learning the parents should also help their
children adjust their routines when the traditional face to face learning starts. The process of
adjusting can be quite hard but it will be made slowly If the learners just have the perfect support
system. Families had to swiftly adapt to remote school and employment when the COVID-19
outbreak started. Both parents and children despite the fact that school could seem life familiar
ground, still things are different. Some children and teenagers will adapt to the changes with
ease. When they return school and meet their friends and teachers, they will be eager. This is how
the teacher, students, and parents are adjusting to the new normal scenario. This modality,
however, will be the topic of a later DepEd issuance because various concerns with its
implementation remain, including the monitoring of licensed teachers and alignments with the
standard curriculum.

The significance of this study is that it will allow college students at Negros Oriental State
University to be available and flexible in their new typical circumstance at school. Some students
may react to distant learning or school changes by removing a mask or physically distancing
themselves. Take the time to check in with each student personally to create a safe place for your
pupils to express their emotions, and set flexible deadlines as needed. The new normal serves as
a reminder that humans are social creatures capable of surviving any situation by being there for
one another. Teachers and students, parents and families, take use of this time to help others or
develop your networking abilities.

And adjusting to the new normal situation is uncertain, so it is okay to take the necessary steps.
In order to gain the focus, you need on learning something new, students must establish a
routine. Having a healthy and balanced routine will help you get the most out of school, focus on
your success, and most importantly, depend on God in all students do.

Guide Questions:

1. What issues and concerns did you gather and collect from external and internal
assessment?
The issues and concerns that we gather from Internal is the classroom set-up it is
important to have a classroom management in order for them to have a safe learning
environment, I can assure that my students would love their learning space. The
external concerns that we encounter that there is no instance that the given tasks is
answered by their parents or siblings.
2. What is the prescribed standard performance or behavior?
I can literary say when it comes to prescribed performance or the behavior I should
be more proficient in giving task or should I say an giving activities, there behavior
is quite good as what we have observed the behavior of the students are respectful
we have a student-teacher environment.
3. What is the current/actual performance, behavior, or situation?
The actual performance of the students when discussing and visualizing they
understand quickly unlike answering on their own papers they are struggling on the
correct spellings. Most of them don’t take the class seriously, The situation that
we’ve encountered where dealing with readers and non-readers students after class
there is an remedial classes for the oral reading .
4. What is the difference between the standard and the current /actual performance,
behavior or situations?
5. Which of these gaps is the most relevant, the most important, the most urgent and
the most doable?
6. What reasons or pieces of evidence to support the decision?
7. What are the possible immediate, underlying and root causes of the most relevant,
most important, most urgent and the most doable gap?
8. What are the pieces of evidence presented?
9. What are the possible solutions to the immediate, underlying and the root causes of
the most relevant , most important, most urgent and most doable gap?
10. What related study, if any, can support the proposed probable solutions?
11. Which of the root solutions is the best strategy that can be implemented to address
the gap?

Statement of the Problem

When the pandemic occurred, most students at Negros Oriental State University Bais Campus II
BEED IV found it difficult to transfer from classroom instruction with pupils. It will take time
for education, like the rest of the world, to adjust to the "new normal." As intern students, we
must be flexible in performing schoolwork and maintaining it on time to be submitted; this is the
greatest method to acclimatize to a new usual scenario.

1. What is the problem of the study? Re-state the strategy into a problem statement by
describing who is affected, supported causes of the problem, the objectives of the
problem, the objectives of the improvement, and the intervention that will be
initiated to improve the siuation or address the issue, concern or problem.

Research Questions

1. What are the specific questions that when answered would lead you to the right
investigation method for the problem? What information will you gather to answer
the problem of the study?

Hypothesis

1. What is youe educated guess as an answer to the problem or what is your tentative
answer to each reserach question? How do you expect the strategy to impact or
affect the problem of the study?

Significance and Purpose of the Study

1. Why is the problem being investigated? Why is the strategy being implemented or
being tested for effectiveness? Who will benefit from the study? How will students,
teachers , school heads, supervisors, officials or education system benefit from the
results of the action research?

Scope and Delimitation

1. Who are included in this study? Who are not included in this study?

CHAPTER 2

Methods and Design- This part provides a step-by-step plan for conducting the study. To write
