1.0 introduction to business

Food dinosaur is a business that provides food delivery service in Malaysia. The main ideas of
our business is to provides the faster, cheaper and convenient delivery service to every customer.
Since advanced societies are so busy, everyone is busy with their work and has no time to eat.
One of the reason of that is because the food they ordered takes longer time than they imagine.
Therefore, Food dinosaur will help people to solve this problem. Besides, our business use
motorcycles to deliver food because they can deliver food faster in urban areas, where there are
often traffic jams. Moreover, our business partners with over 2500 restaurants in Malaysia
including KFC, Starbucks and etc.

2.0 organizational plan

2.1 Vision
Our vision is to become the leading brand in the food delivery service line of business in
Malaysia. 

2.2 Mission
Our mission is to provide a cheaper, convenient, and instant food delivery experience for every
customer.

3.0 service to offer

Food dinosaur provide a faster, cheaper and convenient service to every customer. When the
customer has no time to cook or take away themselves, customer just order the food by a single
tap through our application or website, the delivery man will receive the order and help the
customer to place the order at the relevant restaurant. Once the meal is ready, the delivery man
will deliver the food to the customer and make sure the food has been delivered to the customer.
The advantage is people can do their work while they are waiting for the order and it don’t waste
too much time.

4.0 Market Research

4.1 Observation
We will observe at and compare with other competitors that offer delivery services. In addition,
we will observe the customer's requirements and decision-making process.

4.2 Online Survey


Online surveys of diners of different ages will be conducted in sequence. The purpose of this
online survey is to understand the customer base, such as the speed and attitude of old and new
customers towards our delivery. This is because the speed of delivery is top priority among them.
Therefore, our company emphasizes the safe and fast delivery of meals to customers quickly to
meet customer needs.

4.3 Interview
We will interview responsible and driver’s license riders to deliver the meal to the customer
more safely and quickly. In addition, we will also recruit the service advisor to deal with
customers' complaints and queries. Besides that, we will hire experienced planners to better
understand future trends and focus on increasing the revenue and profitability by meeting
customer needs through digital and traditional marketing. Moreover, it will influence customer
decisions and use our delivery service.

5.0 Financial management and budget

There are several costs in start a business, which is startup cost, fixed cost and variable cost.

RM 100,000 - owner investment

RM 30,000 – short term loan

RM 70,000 – long term loan

 RM 50,000 for create application and website.


 RM 200 for legal document.
 RM 5,000 for advertising.
 RM 10,000 for insulated box, worker clothing and helmet.
 RM 90,000 for management teams’ salaries.
 RM 10,000 for application maintenance every year.

Total budget for our business requirement: RM 200,000

Total cost and expenses for our business: RM 165,200

The additional funds: RM 34,800

6.0 Platform of Business
We decided to do our business in website and application. The following is our reason.

6.1 Saving time for customer


Instead of spending time choosing meals at the mall, shop directly online. This can save time
and allows for a variety of online options. In addition, the customers search the website for the
food they want, just click a few clicks, that is, simple finish. After that, time can be saved to do
other things or work.

6.2 Make it convenient for customers.


In this advanced technology, everyone has a smartphone or computer in their hand, just browse
the website or open the application to clearly see nearby meals, in addition to customers can also
be anytime, anywhere. For example, when customers are too busy to make friends, they can
order with a smartphone or computer, which can save customers’ time. As a result, our business
provides customers with convenience, allowing them to quickly solve the problems of choosing
the meals.

6.3 Low operating costs


When do the business on website and applications, basically do not need water, electricity, as
well as management fees and expenses. In addition, the online store is not like the physical store
needs to be guarded all the time, thus saving manpower costs. As a result, many of the costs
have been reduced as a result.

7.0 Marketing plan

7.1 Product
Most of our customers is only have limited time to have their lunch. Therefore, the speed of
delivery is our top priority. So, our company emphasizes fast delivery to satisfy customer needs.
Besides, we will give updates and track through emails, phone numbers, and mobile apps. When
the delivery is out of the estimated time, we will compensate with the food vouchers. In addition,
in order to determine the satisfaction of the customers, we will give every customer an
opportunity to evaluate our delivery man service quality through “giving star” in every order.

7.2 Price
The range of the current food delivery system costs from RM2 – RM 5 depends on delivery
areas. Based on the statistics, high delivery costs are one of the reasons why consumers prefer to
eat in or take out rather than order food from a delivery service. As a result, our business tends to
charge RM2 for every order within the town area and RM2.5 for delivery in the rural area, which
are more reasonable for customers.

7.3 Place
We offer our service on our website and mobile application. Therefore, customers can find more
about our business by visiting our website. Moreover, customers can through our mobile
application to place orders at any time and from any location.

7.4 Promotion
Our business will offer seasonal discount such as Chinese new year. Besides, we will give
students a 5% discount on each order to make them more affordable. Not only that, we'll be
partnering with Touch N Go, Lazada and other apps so customers can get our discount voucher
from there. As a result, this will increase business reputation, and attract more customers.

8.0 Human Resource Management

LOH CHONG KING, Founder and Chief Executive Officer


He will be leading the business to operate and manage with his strategy. Besides that, he also
will guide the business by coming up with new ideas and preparing how to put them into action.
Loh Chong King is an insightful and predictable people because he can listen to the grassroots
and the voice of the masses and find out the problems. Besides that, he also will put forward
high-level solutions and decision. He had a lot of experience with financial and management
industry for several years. After that, Mr. Loh founder Food dinosaur and become Chief
Executive Officer. Furthermore, he graduated from Help University with a Master of Business
Administration.

SIM JIE TENG, Manager of Marketing and Sales


Sim Jie Teng is manager of marketing and sales. Moreover, his tasks include planning,
developing, implementing, and evaluating advertisement, products, and trade promotion
programs to create comprehensive marketing strategies and events. He had over five years of
experience in the sales and marketing departments. Besides that, he was an Assistant Sales and
Marketing manager for a leading listed company in Malaysia. Therefore, Mr. Sim had planned
and implemented more than hundreds of marketing campaigns and events. In addition, he
graduated from Monash University with a Master of Financial and Accounting.

9.0 Conclusion

In conclusion, food dinosaur is a delivery business that aims to provide faster and convenient
delivery services. Besides that, our competitive advantage is greater coverage area, delivering
food to our customers in a short period of time. After, we also through the surveys for
establishment of our business and learned about our financial situation and plans for the proper
allocation of human resources. In addition, we also promise to meet and serve our customers
bases on their needs. Moreover, our business will continuously to focus on our business
strategies, which especially in marketing strategies to ensure our business to reach different
groups of consumers and build a loyal customer base every year.
