Laboratory work
Objective of this exercise include learning of following things: -

1. Usage of instruments Multimeters, CRO and other tools


2. Soldering, de-soldering of component on the PCBs. Usage of various tools like, soldering iron, de-
soldering pumps, wire cutters, nose pliers etc
3. Assembly of the components on the GPCB/Bread board (at least one circuit/project given), testing and
validation of the design.
4. Building of simple electronic circuits used for reading/writing Analog/Digital input/output signals using
Digital Signal controller.

Build and test the following circuits: -

1. Design, build and test a 6-channel digital input circuit/board with following specifications:
a. Type of input: Potential free push buttons
b. No of channels: 6
c. Input logic voltage level: 0-5.0V
d. Output logic voltage level: 0-3.3V
e. Select a output pull up resistor such that the output signal level is more than
Minimum VoH when driving a gate with an input impedance of 100kOhms
f. Select a input pull down resistor such input signal level is less than Maximum V IL
when sinking current is 1.4mA

2. Design, build and test a six channel digital output circuit/board with following
specifications:
a. Output load: LEDs
b. No of channels: 6
c. Input logic voltage level: 0-3.3V
d. Output logic voltage level: 0-5.0V
e. Select a output pull up resistor to drive the LEDs whose minimum drive current
is 1mA
f. Select a input pull down resistor such input signal level is less than Maximum V IL
when sinking current is 1.4mA

3. Design, build and test a six channel analog input circuit/board with following
specifications:
a. Output load: LEDs
b. No of channels: 4
c. Input logic voltage level: 0-1.1V
d. Output logic voltage level: 0-3.3V
e. Provide potentiometers for varying the input analog signals.
