INTRODUCTION
Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) systems can help the

healthcare industry to make a smooth transition to a val-

ue-based care model.

RPM wearable devices transmit patients’ vital physiologi-

cal data to the healthcare facility for evaluation. This

allows hospitals to monitor critical or high-risk patients

remotely and helps patients receive uninterrupted profes-

sional medical treatment from the comfort of their homes.

A dashboard is a component of a graphical user interface

that provides an overview of key metrics for a specific

business or objective. A good RPM dashboard not only

saves time and money but also helps healthcare facilities

and providers gain credibility for the quality of its patient

HOW TO BUILD A
DASHBOARD?
People at different levels need different sets of data from

various sources, so building a good dashboard is a

multi-layered process. RPM dashboards are generally de-

signed to track the progress and trends of various vital

signs of a patient and the severity will determine the

action taken by the physician and the hospital. These

dashboards differ in terms of functionality and the visual

representation depending on the end user. An instinctive,

and custom-made RPM dashboard integrates crucial pa-

tient-related and other operational data into one seamless

interface.

Dashboard designing is a tough job. We get it!

From DVT, weight management and post-surgery RPM, to

RPM for admins and RPM alerts, we’ve created some

dashboard designs to make things easier for everyone.

RPM FOR ADMINS
Administrators in healthcare organizations prepare com-

prehensive monthly reports collating the vital statistics of

all the patients wearing remote patient monitoring devices.

An insightful, easy-to-follow overview dashboard will

reduce their workload and make it easier to analyze

trends of devices and patients with different medical

issues.

The below dashboard is an example that shows the

number of active users, all active users grouped by the

condition, and the sub-grouping of these users based on

their compliance. It also provides details such as the

number of compliant users, the compliance trends based

on the condition, the number of alerts sent in the month,

and the average response time for critical cases.

POST-SURGERY RPM
Every year, so many people go under the knife for several

reasons – to alleviate pain, to treat a disease, or to im-

prove their appearance. Whatever be the reason, post-op-

erative complications are quite common, and if not diag-

nosed in time, could also lead to death.

The below dashboard highlights some of the parameters

tracked for a patient who has undergone knee replace-

ment surgery. The WOMAC scores for pain, stiffness, and

function, the filled WOMAC survey, the general health sta-

tistic EQ-5D, and the knee score KSS are some of the sta-

tistics reported to the practitioner.

These parameters help the practitioner understand the

patient’s health condition and take the necessary mea-

sures to avoid serious complications.

DVT DEVICE ANALYSIS
Statistics point out that roughly 900,000 Americans could

be affected by Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) each year,

and around 60,000-100,000 Americans die of DVT.

What many people don’t know is that DVT is preventable

and treatable if detected early. Traditionally, an ultrasound

helped to diagnose DVT.

However, with the help of our DVT dashboard connected

to an RPM device, anyone can monitor critical data such

as blood pressure, heart rate, SPO2, and device usage in

real-time. They can also assess their weekly, monthly, and

yearly readings and visit a physician if they have any con-

cerns.

RPM ALERTS
Healthcare providers are racing against the clock, so a

dashboard that gives them a quick snippet of their pa-

tient’s statistics is always welcome.

This dashboard provides the severity score of each pa-

tient against the set standards along with a notification.

Besides, it allows the provider to send an instant alert to

the patient and the healthcare facility if they feel the sever-

ity values are critical.

WEIGHT
MANAGEMENT
Obesity is not just a health issue but also puts you at risk

of developing critical illnesses such as coronary artery

disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and certain types of

cancer.

Some of the helpful features on the weight management

dashboard are pedometer, constant monitoring of your

vitals, a to-do list designed based on this information, and

doctor on call. Self-monitoring helps you track the foods

you eat and your daily progress, and this will positively

impact your weight loss goals.
