BEFORE USING THAIPHOON BURNER OR PURCHASING A LICENSE, IT IS STRONGLY

RECOMMENDED TO BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING:

1. Thaiphoon Burner is not a malicious tool. It does NOT collect your


private data, monitor your activity and install rootkits. It does NOT
connect to the Internet without your knowledge. To prevent Thaiphoon.exe
from decompiling and disassembling we use a licensed software protector.
For this reason, some of the antivirus programs detect Thaiphoon.exe as
malware, infected or potentially dangerous. This is false positive!

2. The executable file of Thaiphoon Burner includes a manifest that requires


from you to have administrator privileges by default. Otherwise the program
cannot install its driver to access SPD EEPROM to read and write SPD data.

3. When enabled, Smart App Control of Windows 11, version 22H2 blocks
Thaiphoon Burner driver from installing as it does not have the required
WHCP-signature. For this reason the program cannot read and write SPD. In
this case you can run the program in Windows 10 or import your SPD dumps
extracted from text reports of third-party software. To import a text SPD
dump copy it to the clipboard, go to "File"->"Import from Clipboard".

Anyway, you can disable Windows 11 WDAC policy to let Thaiphoon Burner
install and run its driver via "Windows Security"->"Device Security"->
"Memory Integrity":OFF. Then run Regedit.exe, open the key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CI\Config]
and set �VulnerableDriverBlocklistEnable�=dword:00000000
Reboot your computer.

4. Before reading SPD DDR5 on Intel platforms make sure you have set the
"SPD Write Disable" BIOS setting to "FALSE". Otherwise Thaiphoon Burner
cannot access the entire 1024-byte array of SPD. Decoded information may
appear corrupted.

5. WARNING! Samsung, Hynix, Elixir/Nanya, Silicon Power, Crucial (SO-DIMM),


Patriot (SO-DIMM) and Micron Technology are used to write-protect the first
128 bytes of the 2-Kbit SPD EEPROM chip for all DDR2/DDR3 DRAM modules and
the first 384 bytes of the 4-Kbit SPD EEPROM of all DDR4 DRAM modules. This
limitation does not allow changing JEDEC timings, frequencies and other
technical parameters of the module. However, you can write one or two XMP
profiles to the user programmable area of SPD.

6. Thaiphoon Burner does not fix hardware failures of RGB-capable DDR4 DRAM
modules like Trident Z or Vengeance RGB. The program can restore corrupted
SPD data to the initial state only.

7. Before purchasing a license, please make sure your DRAM modules are not
write-protected. Otherwise you will not be paid a refund. You can use Data
Protection Test (EEPROM -> Data Protection Test) to ensure the SPD EEPROM
chip of your DDR/DDR2/DDR3/DDR4 modules is not write-protected. SPD write
protection status for DDR5 modules is provided in the full report. Thaiphoon
Burner does not have tools to clear SPD write protection.

8. WARNING! It is not possible to read and write SPD with Thaiphoon Burner
when running from within virtual environment (virtual machine)

9. In order to generate your license MyCommerce/Share-It! Service requires


from you to provide the Registration Number of your Thaiphoon Burner DEMO
copy. Otherwise, you will not obtain your licensing information and the
download link to the full version of the program.

10. Make sure Thaiphoon Burner is capable of reading SPD. Otherwise it is not
recommended to purchase a license since Showshock Softnology will unable to
pay a refund in this case.

12. To be able to receive answers from [email protected], please add this


email address to the list of permitted emails. Please take into consideration
that Showshock Softnology does not reply to emails registered at hotmail.com,
outlook.com and live.com.
