Computer Engineering Department: Micro Project Report

This microproject report summarizes work done by a group of 3 students on measuring instruments in a personal computer. The aims were to understand computer systems, conduct a necessary microproject, and develop new computer features. The group collected a PC and measuring instruments like a voltmeter. They studied various parts in the PC and measured it using instruments to understand their functions. The outcomes achieved were learning to use computer systems, understanding measuring instruments and their functions, and the importance of measurements. This helped the students gain skills and knowledge on the topic.

2.2 Aim of Micro-Project

The aim of Measuring in PC is how to use instrument. Measurement being in the service of quality,
monitoring, safety, making, something fit (design an assembly) and problem solving what is the
meaning of measuring instrument how to measure computer how to work on instrument it is the very
important aim of micro project student are understand every measurement. introduce a measuring
instrument in PC

2.3 Course Outcomes Achieved

a) use computer system and its properties

b) Use out PC and how to use PC
c)Important of measuring instrument and their Function

2.4 Actual procedure followed.

Write stepwise work was done, including which team members did what work and how the data was
analyzed (if any).
We are collect a pc and gathered different types of measuring instrument we are collected measuring
instrument important then measure PC find note how to use measure instrument

2.5 Actual Resources Used

2.6 Output of the micro-project

However, in their final report microproject are experts to demonstrate activities and deliberates that facilitate
achieving the output indicator in a main project

2.7 Skill developed or learning out of this project.

This microproject are very useful to understand a measuring instrument in PC and instrument of
computer system. understand and apply concepts of sequential logic design to implements understand
and apply concept of measuring instrument. Develop the ability to measuring instrument
programmable logic devices to develop a knowledge skill, abilities of value. This microproject helping us
learn more effectively and how to watt in team. this microproject is understand of team work each
student understand every point and developing him their skill, knowledge how to care instrument PC
and how to make report for microproject

an output that varies output that varies in discrete
continuously as the steps

changes.
The output can have an This instrument has only
infinite number of values finite values within the
within the range range.

Voltmeter

•It measures the voltage difference (AC/DC) between two points in a circuit.
•An analog voltmeter moves a pointer across a scale in proportion to the circuit’s
voltage.

•A digital voltmeter provides a numerical display.

•Voltmeter is always connected in parallel with load across which voltage is to be

measured

Voltmeter (contd…)
•The internal resistance (series resistance) of a voltmeter is very high in order to
minimize the loading effect.

•When the internal resistance of a voltmeter is not much high compared to the
resistance of the circuit across which it is connected, the measured voltage
becomes low. This is called the loading effect of voltmeter.

•The internal resistance of an ideal voltmeter is infinity.

How to measure voltage with voltmeter ?

•Connect one node of Voltmeter at V and another node at C terminal.

•Always select proper range before using meter.

•While measuring high voltage, ensure that lead may not be exposed at
anywhere.

Ammeter/Ampere meter
•It measures the current (AC/DC).

•Always connected in series in the circuit.

•Internal Resistance (Shunt resistance) is very low so that most of the current
passes through it.

•Internal resistance of an ideal ammeter is zero.

Ohmmeter

•Used for measuring resistance.

•Connected in parallel.

•Connect one node at Ωand another node at C terminal.
