MÖRK BORG LORE PRIMER

CHARACTERS OF NOTE

Blood-countess Anthelia
Role Blood-countess of Kergüs.
Location White stone castle in Alliáns, Kergüs
Themes Suitors, cold, lack of color, ambivalence, vampirism
Notes Possibly a vampire.
Hooks Seeks colour and warmth. Promises rewards for it. / Foolish vampire
hunters want to try to assassinate her; stop them before they get
themselves killed.

The Shadow King


Role Legend-shrouded king of rubble.
Location The Palace of the Shadow King, Graven-Tosk
Themes Servants, agents, ruins, mystery
Notes His courtiers have servants with slaves
Hooks Princes of his line disguise themselves as ordinary men, tricking
travelers

King Sigfúm the Kind

Role Mocked king of a doomed city.


Location City state Grift, on the eastern peninsula of the Endless Sea.
Themes Disrepair, doom, acceptance of fate
Notes Sigfum wants everyone in Grift to commit suicide when the time comes.
Hooks Inquisition of the Two-Headed Basilisks thinks that Sigfum’s mass suicide
scheme is heretical

King Fathmu IX

Role Paranoid ruler riddled with psychosis.


Location Secret citadel in the city of Schleswig.
Themes Insanity, paranoia, greed, survival, fear, tyranny, taxes, fascism
Notes City of Schleswig is gaudy but very sad and depressing. Statues and
monuments but poverty and disrepair. Vaults of the King are filled
with gold taken away from his subjects.
Hooks Fathmu’s men take everything from villagers /New laws, new taxes.

Arch-Priestess Josilfa Migol

Role Immortal leader of the Two-Headed Basilisks


Location Black Chamber underneath the Cathedral in Galgenbeck, greatest city that
ever was.

Notes Josilfa probably colludes with Nechrubel

Nechrubel
The Shadow that covers all. Melancholy, crop failure, conflict and war. Said to have
whispered the apocalyptic prophecies in Verhu’s ear.

Yetsabu-Nech
The underworld’s nightmare, the black disks which stands before the sun.
