MANILA, 24 September (Reuters) – Although a survey released on Friday found that President
Rodrigo Duterte’s approval rating was 21 percent lower than a record high achieved in
November 2020, three-quarters of Filipinos were satisfied with his performance in June.
According to a survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) and posted on its website on
Friday, Duterte received an overall “very good” net satisfaction rating of +62 in June, down from
+65 in May and the “excellent” level of +79 in November.
Duterte’s opponents accuse him of being overly authoritarian and intolerant of dissent, yet
despite this, he continues to have enormous public support due to his man-of-the-people persona,
perceived strength of leadership, and accomplishments in the battle against crime and corruption.
The public’s support for the government, according to SWS, is the reason for Duterte’s strong
popularity rating. This is true despite a protracted coronavirus outbreak that has destroyed the
economy and caused millions of job losses. (REUTERS 2021)
Political and socioeconomic concerns at the local, regional, and international levels initially
appear to be distinct and unrelated to one another. The idea that local issues only concern a
certain region inside a country, regional issues only affect a specific geographic region, like
Europe or Asia, and global issues are worldwide issues that affect all areas of the world is
oversimplified. All problems, whether local, regional, or global, are interconnected because
global problems can affect local problems locally in all countries, and local problems locally can
become more serious and eventually have an impact on international affairs.
At first glance, political and economical issues at the local, national, and worldwide levels seem
independent and unconnected. It is simplistic to believe that local problems only affect a specific

area of a nation, regional problems only impact a particular continent, such as Europe or Asia,
and global problems affect the entire globe. All problems, whether local, regional, or global, are
interconnected because global issues can have an impact on local issues at a local level in all
nations, and local issues at a local level can deteriorate and eventually have an effect on global
issues.

The Social Security Administration’s mission, along with its organizational structure and culture,
have their origins in the Great Depression and President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s expansive
initiatives for addressing economic insecurity and poverty. The agency’s mission is to “promote
the economic security of the nation’s people through compassionate and vigilant leadership in
shaping and managing America’s Social Security programs”1.

Significance of the Study
This study will help the community to speculate and analyze how they truly percieve
regarding the current government. The future leaders of our country are in the hands of the
people by agreeing on this through voting. Running a nation and its populace and other important
factors of it is quite challenging and not an easy feat as it could be oppressive in many ways.
That’s why the public must have a preference for the right candidates who possess the true
qualities of a promising leader. Once we find transparency about this topic, future voters would
be able to learn how to analyze and determine wisely their candidates for future elections
