Project Title:
Selection of Methodology
The Agile approach to managing software projects entails a repeated cycle of planning and
executing tasks. Its defining features include ongoing improvement and teamwork across different
functional units. This approach enables quick and efficient adaptation to change and fosters
communication between all stakeholders, including the customer who is often integrated into the
project team. Adoption of sustainable practices and innovative design are prioritized for technical
proficiency. The entire project team, including both business and technical departments, must
collaborate effectively. Late-stage modifications to the project are also accepted in this
methodology.
The project follows the Agile XP (Extreme Programming) method, which consists of four
primary phases: Planning, Design, Coding, and Testing.
The initiation of the process involves collecting requirements from customers and stakeholders,
referred to as "stories". Subsequently, the process entails planning and cost/time estimation,
followed by the development phase and testing. The software is refined through refactoring before
and after testing to ensure its quality. Any feedback gathered from the testing stage is utilized to
make necessary adjustments in the planning phase.
Daily tasks include pair programming and unit testing, with customer acceptance testing being
a crucial factor in maintaining the project's credibility.
