The surface of the cast grinding ball mill steel ball is not allowed to have the casting
defects such as the crack, and the obvious gas porosity, inclusion, shrinking cavity,
cold shut, elephant skin, etc.

It is not allowed to have the shrinkage cavity, shrinking porosity, gas porosity,
inclusion, and other cavity defects on the section including plane pasting through the
pouring gate and the ball centre.

Cast ball mill steel ball is another type of grinding ball. It is cost effective and only
needs a low initial investment. It is a low- chromium cast steel ball and is available in
four different diameters to suit different ball mills. Diameters of ball mill steel ball
available range from 50,8 to 88,9 mm. Its surface hardness: 58 – 64 HRC and its
volumetric hardness is 58 – 64 Rc. The percentage of Chrome is 0,2 – 0,8. They can
be packed and delivered in bulk, in drums or bags for rail, road or sea transport.
