Capstone Project Title: Onion Wars: A 3d Animated Tale Behind An Economic Issue

Project Description: The project is a 3d animated short film that showcases the scene behind an
economic issue, which is the increase of commodity prices in the Philippines.
Inflation rate is a common issue in Philippine economy, and constant change of
prices of commodities such as food and beverages, electricity, services, and
transport services are happening every year. It has been our best interest to make a
3d short film regarding the issue and convey them to the viewers.

The focus of this project is to acquaint the audiences regarding the causes of
inflation and its reverberations, specifically to the producers. There are many factors
that generate the change in Philippine economy’s inflation rate, and this projects
aims make a short film using symbolism approach to advertise the stated issue.

Project Objectives

 To create a short film that stimulates the audience’ awareness about an economic issue.
 To develop engaging characters that the audience can enjoy to.
 To exhibit the group’s competence in using 3d animation technique and enhance the impact of the story.
