JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
 Provide advice to the Management on health, safety and environmental issues.
 Assist the management in undertaking risk assessments and identifying safe systems of work to be
recorded in safe work method statements.
 Establish and implement company safety plan and policy.
 Recommend and supplement accident prevention measures in all areas prevent fire, minimize injuries
and property damage.
 Assist supervisors in delivering toolbox talks to the workers on the control measures identified in risk
assessments and the safe system of work to be adhered.
 Conduct daily inspection on site to identify hazards, risks, unsafe conditions and practices. Noted
pointes reported to management for its immediate corrective action.
 Safety induction given to all workers in site, weekly tool box talks conducted discussing hazards related
to operations and violations if any.
 Develop Emergency Fire Evacuation programmed and conduct training on Emergency response.
 Conduct Fire Fighting demonstration and train workers to use different types of fire extinguishers.
 Conduct daily inspection on site to identify falling hazard from height and control measures.
 Develop and deliver the worker induction ensuring that all workers receive an induction prior to starting
work.
 Assist the Safety manager the lead role in all accident investigations and ensure that a written
investigation report is provided to EHS for all reportable accidents.
 Ensure the accident investigation reporting procedure in line with EHS requirements.
 Develop procedures for high risk activities and brief management on their responsibilities under these
procedures. Audit against these procedures regularly and report any non compliance to the Project
Manager.
 Advice on the requirements for site welfare and carry out regular inspections of the facilities, reporting
any concerns to the main contractor’s Project Manager.
