Dear Sir/Madam,
It has been decided to hold XXX All India G. V. Mavalankar Shooting Championship in
Small Bore Rifle/ Pistol events at AMRTA Ranges, Khan Pur, Ahmedabad, Gujarat from 10th
to 30thOctober 2021 as detailed in the program attached at Appendix “A”. This will be
conducted by Ahmedabad Military Rifle & Training Association, an affiliate of Gujarat State
Rifle Association and under the patronage of the National Rifle Association of India.
Those competitors who want to participate in these competitions are requested to go through
the following instructions carefully for their own convenience and to ensure smooth and
successful conduct of the above competitions.
1) MATCHES:-
All the matches will be conducted according to NRAI Match Book 2018 (amended).
The Match Book is available on our website www.thenrai.in.
a. The entries will be accepted through respective NRAI’s affiliated State Rifle
Association/Units only. THE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLY “ON
NRAI’s ONLINE SYTEM” and no paper entry will be accepted. The
shooters are required to visit our website www.thenrai.in to file their entries
along with online payment of entry fee. The online entries with normal fee
will be accepted till 9.30 PM on 25th September 2021. Late entries with triple
entry fee will be accepted till 9.30 PM on30th September 2021.
b. In case any shooter/affiliated unit need any assistance for filing the entry,
he/she must approach NRAI immediately BUT before 5.30 PM on 25th
September 2021 so that their entries are accepted with normal fee. Shooters
contacting for assistance after25th September 2021 are liable to pay triple fee.

c. Shooters, who have not received/applied for their Shooter ID number, must
immediately visit our website www.thenrai.in to check status/apply for their
Shooter ID number.
3. PARTICIPATION
a. Those who are below 21 years, 19 years and 16 years of age as on 10th October
2021 will be considered under the category of Juniors, Youth and Sub Youth
respectively for the Championship.
b. No Certificates will be issued to shooters failing to achieve the qualifying scores
as per rule 1.4 above during All India G V Mavalankar Shooting Championship.
c. The State Rifle Associations/Units will be imposed a penalty of Rs. 3000/- per
shooter in case their shooters score below 15% of the qualifying score as per
NRAI Match Book rule 1.4 during All India G V Mavalankar Shooting
Championship. The State/Unit must deposit the penalty amount with NRAI
immediately otherwise shooters from that unit/state will not be allowed to
participate in any competition conducted by NRAI. The Secretary General may
also call for explanation of the unit/state for sending such shooters. Shooters
participating in AIGVMSC on the basis of their performance during any
competition conducted by NRAI shall be exempted.
d. A penalty of Rs. 200/- will be charged if a shooter loses his/her competitor card
during the competition and fresh card will only be issued on deposit of penalty.
e. Shooters taking part in Peep Sight Rifle matches are not allowed to take part in
Open Sight Rifle Matches or vice versa.
f. All Schools directly affiliated with NRAI must send their entries through
respective State Rifle Associations where these schools are functioning. No direct
entry will be accepted from the schools.
g. Shooters, who achieve MQS as prescribed under Clause 17.6 of NRAI Match
Book 2018 (amended) during this Championship, will be permitted to
participate in 64thNSCC in those events in which MQS has been achieved.
h. Those shooters, who failed to achieve MQS as per Clause 17.6 of NRAI
Match Book, during Zonal Championships this year for their participation in
64 NSCC, may participate in this Competition for the purpose of achieving
MQS. Their entry will be accepted on the basis of their scores achieved by
them in the latest State/Zonal Championship.
i. Clause 1.6.1 of NRAI Match Book would be applicable to shooters, who have
already achieved MQS for participation in 64thNSCC during previous
AIGVMSC/Zonal Championship, if they fail to achieve MQS under Clause
17.6 of NRAI Match Book during 30th AIGVMSC
j. Entry of Renowned shooters will not be accepted in MQS category for the
purpose of training or otherwise.
a) Juniors can take part in .22 Rifle/Pistol events under the supervision of Team
Manager.
b) Youth/Sub Youth Category shooters can take part in all three/four age categories
(seniors/juniors/youth/sub youth). Juniors can only participate in junior and senior
category only. Shooters above the age of 21 years are not allowed to participate in
juniors or youth categories.
5) AMMUNITION
Ammunition will be issued against cash payment only on valid arm license of
Association/Club/Individual or proper special permit issued by the Licensing
Authorities. In case of inadequate authorization, special permits for the required
quantity must be obtained from the local licensing authorities. Unused rounds and
empties of used rounds are to be returned to NRAI.
6) IMPORTANT
Only three (3) shooters will be allowed to use common weapon. The names of
shooters likely to use common weapon should be intimated together with the weapon
number to the Organizing Secretary in advance to enable to work out the details for
the conduct of the relevant matches.
7) ACCOMMODATION:-
Shooters are requested to contact hotels for their stay in Ahmadabad as large number
of hotels are available around the Shooting Range. The details of hotels can be
searched on Google.
8) COVID PROTOCOLS:-
ii. All shooters/coaches must undergo a Covid test prior to entering the range on first
day of PET and submit a negative report from a Govt. certified lab to the Organizers.
This report should not be older than 48 hours from the date of first entry.
VIOLATION OF COVID PROTOCOLS MAY LEAD FROM
DISQUALIFICATION FROM THIS COMPETITION.
iii. The tentative program is attached herewith. The time and date for details would be
notified on the website of NRAI www.thenrai.org Shooters are required to enter the
range 90 minutes before the reporting time at range so that they can report on time for
their detail.
iv. Only one person will be allowed to accompany the shooter subject to production of
valid negative COVID – 19 report.
9) GENERAL : -
a) All participants are requested to go through the above instructions carefully and ensure
strict compliance.
b) All participants are expected to abide by the rules and regulations for the competition.
Discipline on and off the field is very essential.
c) In case of non-participation by the competitors after submission of their entries they will
not be allowed any refund of the Entry Fee.
d) Shooting practice in hotels is strictly prohibited.
e) The Organizers will have the right to close any match or event in case of any emergency
or otherwise without assigning any reason for such an action on their part.
f) The Shooters/ Officials may contact the undersigned or other Organizing Committee
officials as stated belowfor any further information/details that may be required by them
and might have not been covered by the above instructions at the following Address :-
