GROUP ASSIGNMENT I (SOFTWARE PROJECT 10%)

CLO2: Apply mathematical equations in simulation software to solve problems in communication system.
PLO1: Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and electronic engineering to the solution of
complex engineering problems.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Group work.

Prepare a report on the assigned communication problems:


• In a group of maximum four students.
• Questions will be given by the section lecturer to each group.
• Report must contain theoretical background, Matlab code, results, discussion, conclusion, and
references.
• You may refer to textbook and/or other sources for guidance to complement your report, provided
proper citation is given in the text.
• Unless properly cited, report must contain only original figures and texts (write in your own words).
• Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
• Maximum 20 pages.
• Criteria for the assessment is provided in the rubric.
• Submit the rubric form and Turnitin report as well.
• Submission through e-learning site.

Report Writing – 10 Marks


• Report is well structured, methodology is explained well, and has clear scientific reasoning.
Sentences easy to understand. No grammatical or formatting errors. 
• Report is structured, but with unclear methodology or scientific reasoning. Report well =
written but occasionally some points are not easy to understand. Some grammatical or 
formatting errors present.
• Report is not well written with many grammatical or formatting errors. Missing critical
elements of a good report. 
Report Technical Contents – 10 Marks
• Good technical description with very few errors in presenting the theoretical background. 
• Acceptable technical description or several errors in presenting the theoretical background.  =
• Lack of clarity in the technical description or several errors in the theoretical background. 
Program Workability – 10 Marks
• All basic requirements work with excellent features/elements. Progress showed that the
program is efficiently coded and good results have been acquired. 

not well understood or choice of coding methods is not entirely correct. 

Originality – 10 Marks

moderate degree of plagiarism present.
