CHAMPIONSHIPS Saturday, May 6th, 2023 CPS Lane Stadium Welcome To The 2023 Chicago Public League (CPL) Girls Outdoor Track & Field Championships! Since 1975, girls from Chicago Public Schools have competed for the Chicago Public League Track and Field Championship.
Here’s a look at some of the featured performers at this year’s
city championships who will be vying for individual and team awards.
Defending CPL and IHSA champions Whitney Young look to
win their 8th straight title but must fend off a strong challenge from Kenwood who will be looking for their first CPL girls’ track and field crown.
Girls athletes to watch this year include:

● Hannah Diete - Jr. - Taft (800m) ● Jade Lavallee - Sr. - Whitney Young (1600m, 3200m) ● Kennedy Ross - Sr. - Lindblom (Hurdles) ● Jaliyah Shepherd - Sr. - Kenwood (Long Jump, Sprints) ● Asia Thomas - Sr. - Kenwood (Sprints)
