Diy - Stain - Remover 2

This document summarizes a research study that tested the effectiveness of a DIY stain remover made from calamansi, baking soda, and vinegar. The study aimed to see if this mixture could remove ketchup stains and mud stains. The methodology section outlines the materials and 8-step procedure. Results in tables 1 and 2 show that ketchup stains were removed in 5 minutes and mud stains in 3 minutes, demonstrating the stain remover's effectiveness. The conclusion confirms the mixture significantly reduced staining within different time periods. Recommendations state the natural ingredients can serve as an alternative stain remover.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We, the researchers would like to express our deepest

gratitude to those people who help us to reach this stage.
Especially to Mrs. Girlie S. Casona, we would like to
extend how thankful we are for your unending support.
Those encouragement of yours inspired us and serve as
our motivation to don’t give up in this research. Thank
you lifting us up and to your never ending advice and
guidance. We would like to extend our gratitude to our
classmates from VII-Edison and to our adviser Ms. Annie
Rose Lopez for inspiring us to do better.

I. INTRODUCTION
Some people think that wearing clothes that have stains are fine. They also
believe that it is just a trivial matter. However, they are oblivious to the fact
that will somehow affect the way other people think of them. In short,
wearing clothes that have stains create unnecessary ruckus and bad
impressions.

Calamansi alone is an effective stain remover for a certain stain, as well as

the baking soda and vinegar. The researchers wanted to find out if the
combination of the two would be effective to remove the stains.

The researchers would test the time it takes for the stains to be completely
removed from the fabrics. This study would only test and focus if calamansi
extract a baking soda and vinegar can remove ketchup stains, and mud
stains from the clothes. Then, if they really can, how much time it will take
for the stains to be completely removed. This research may help people that
seeks for cheap and easy to find stain removers to remove mud, stains, and
future researchers that may seek information related to this study.

II. OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

General Objective to produce an effective stain remover made of natural

sources that can remove both permanent and temporary stains. Specific
Objective to observe if the iron rust stain, human perspiration stain, mildew,
yellow spots on the fabric, and grease stains could be removed by the fruit
stain remover.

III. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Other bleach has bad effects caused by the chemicals. This is where the
researchers found their foundation and possible solution. The researchers
thought of a way in which they could produce a soothing and great scent
without harming the surroundings and community and without spending a
lot of money. The researchers' desire is to make a non-toxic stain remover
which does not have any environmental impact.

The benefit involves the environment, the health of the people, and the
economy of the Philippines. It will not use much of the harmful chemicals
used in other bleach. It has a natural component. It will also expand the
market for Filipino farmers because this will enhance their rural economic
development.

VI. CONCLUSION
According to the data and result, there is significant difference between
the time it took, in minutes, for the ketchup stains to be completely removed
on the white cloth using the calamansi extract baking soda and vinegar
mixture as stain remover.

There is also significant difference between the time it took, in minutes, for
the mud stains to be completely removed on the white cloth using the
calamansi extract baking soda and vinegar mixture as stain remover.

Lastly, there is also no significant difference between the time it took, in

minutes, for the chocolate stains to be completely removed on the white
cloth using the calamansi extract baking soda and vinegar mixture as stain
remover.
VII. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of the study, these conclusions were made: The
baking soda, calamansi, and vinegar can be an alternative stain remover.
