Activity: Mini Patient Analytical Report Presentation

Topic: Congenital Heart Disease (Ventricular Septal Defect)

Topic Description: According to Mavroudis, Backer, Anderson, et. al., (2023), ventricular septal defect is a hole between the ventricles. They are characterized into
anatomic types based on their location relative to the components of the right ventricle and their anatomic borders.

Target Clientele: Level II Student Nurses

Time Frame: 4 hours

General Objectives:
Within 3 hours of Mini Patient Analytical Report Presentation on Con Congenital Heart Disease (Ventricular septal defect doubly committed, patent foramen ovale)
the target clientele will be able to:

1. Describe the typical presentation and manifestations that are expected to be seen or observed for patients with Ventricular septal defect.
2. Identify relevant data to the current health condition of the patient utilizing the core concepts of Nursing Health History, Physical Assessment, Drug Study, and
Diagnostic Examinations.
3. Apply related nursing interventions presented upon caring for patients with Congenital Heart Disease (Ventricular septal defect doubly committed, patent

4. Create a care plan necessary for the patient’s condition in reference to the learned theories and concepts of the disease from the case presentation.
