Introduction
Document Overview
This document outlines the OmiConnect Setup and Configuration during the ODL Subscription. It contains the tests and checks to ensure
that all the systems are installed and configured correctly in concurrence with the functionality that has been specified for this Subscription.
Objective
The objective of this document is to test and verify line by line all the possible Scenarios of OmiConnect Setup and Configuration on the
Physical Machine. For said purpose, following tests and verification are performed during Checklist procedure

OmniConnect/Edge Installation and configuration


Following Key Items are Involved during the installation and configuration of Omni Edge and Connect
1. OmiEdge Physical Machine Checklist
 Minimum machine specification should be Core i7 with 12 Cores, RAM 16GB, SSD 512GB
 Windows 10 Installed and activated
 Security and Windows Updated
 Windows Firewall Enabled
 Antivirus Installed
 Following Ports should be enabled for OmniEdge connectivity
 Internet Connectivity Established
 Machine should be able to communicate with OPC server
2. OPC tags Verification
All the required tags are available on OPC Server as per KPI Document

3. OmiEdge Software Installation Checklist


 Make sure to download all the required software as per the document mentioned below:
 Docker Module
 IoT Edge Gateway
 Linux Kernel Update
 Hyper-V is installed and Enabled (In windows and Bios both)
 Docker Module Installation
 OmiEdge Installation as per Documentation ref 1122

4. OmniConnect Setup Checklist


 ODL to provide the Tenant Credentials for OmiConnect
 ODL to Approve the OmiConnect Subscription Request
 OmiConnect Installed as per Documentation ref 1122
 Create new Tenant and Site and Assets(If required)
 Fetch connection string of Edge device for Windows
 Configure OPC Settings (Server Address, Scanrate, Publish rate etc)
 Copy (IoT Connection string and Device ID) values
 Import Tags on Omniconnect
 Formula was created as per KPI document
 Configuration Saved in the Application

5. OmiEdge Enablement Checklist


 OmiEdge Enablement as per Documentation ref 1122
 Make sure Anonymous Login is Enabled
 OPC connection string is enabled with no security
 Install IoT Gateway Installer (Run as Administrator)
 Input (Iot Connection string and Device ID)
 Wait for Services to download first
 Total of 6 services will start to run on Docker (Takes 30 min approx.)
6. Verification
 Tags on Edge are visible in OmiConnect
 3600 values per hours are available in Cloud
 OmiEdge machine CPU utilization should be less than 50%
 OmiEdge machine RAM utilization should be less than 50%
 OmiEdge machine HDD utilization should be less than 50%
