III. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Recap of the previous lesson:
presenting new lesson “Last week’s discussion was about blogs and wikis. Let’s do the recap
on our previous lesson. Who among the class can give us the topic we
have last meeting? Very good! Now who can define what blog is?
How about wikis? Who can give example of wikis? Very good! How
about the uses of blog and wikis? Very good! Let us all give ourselves
a round of applause.”
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson The teacher will ask the learners on how do they communicate with
their loved ones, classmates, teachers and colleagues during
pandemic.
C. Presenting examples/ The teacher will show a picture / video regarding digital
instances of the new lesson communication.
D. Discussing new concepts and practicing The teacher will discuss about audio conferencing and video
new skills #1 conferencing. Audio Conferencing is a meeting among three or more
persons indifferent locations that typically uses handheld wired
telephones, speakerphones or mobile phones. Video Conferencing is
a meeting among participants in different locations that typically uses
computer networks to transmit both audio, text and video data. The
teacher will ask the learners on the different platforms used to
conduct video conferencing. Possible answers are Zoom Meetings,
Google Meet, Facebook Messenger and others. The teacher will
present and discuss some of the popular platforms in conducting
video conferencing.
E. Discussing new concepts and practicing The teacher will ask the learners what are the necessary guidelines
new skills #2 that should be observed before, during and after a digital conference
or meeting. The teacher will show the class via presentation the
guidelines. The teacher will also present the proper etiquette to be
observed during digital conferencing.
F. Developing Mastery The teacher will present the step-by-step procedure on how to install
(Lead to Formative Assessment) and start a new meeting via Google Meet using a mobile phone.
G. Finding practical application of The teacher will ask the learner a daily application audio / video
concepts and skills in daily living. conferencing / meeting on their daily lives. The teacher will ask the
learners on the possible scenario that may happen if proper etiquette
will be neglected when performing digital conferencing.
H. Making Generalizations and Technological advancements have shifted the way we conduct
Abstraction about the Lesson business and how we communicate with our staff and customers. ICT
allows pupils to screen and deal with their own learning, think
fundamentally and imaginatively, take care of reenacted true issues,
work cooperatively, take part in moral dynamic, and embrace a
worldwide point of view towards issues and thoughts. It additionally
gives pupils from remote territories access to teachers and learning
assets.
Students can collaborate on group projects using technology-based
tools. The walls of the classrooms are no longer a barrier as
technology enables new ways of learning, communicating, and
working collaboratively. Technology has also begun to change the
roles of teachers and learners. We must still show a basic courtesy of
this innovative technological advancement.
I. Evaluating Learning The teacher will ask the learners to pick one of the platforms used for
digital communication and to make a two-paragraph essay on why
they choose the platform and how does it affect their way of
communication.
J. Additional Activities for The teacher will check if everyone has an android mobile. If not,
Application or Remediation those who don’t have will be made to partner to those who has one.
The teacher will ask the learners to download the Google Meet
application (if not yet installed) and will be asked to join a meeting
prepared by the teacher. The learners will be asked to observe proper
etiquette during the meeting.
