According to Kofi Annan, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations “Gender equality is more
than a goal itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting
sustainable development, and building good governance.”
To our highly respected School’s Principal, Ma’am Eva T. Leyesa, our speakers, fellow teachers my warm
morning greetings to everyone. I am Glyddel M. Mendoza, Grade 1 Teacher your host for today’s event.
After all the hindrances that came in, today we managed to make this training workshop possible. Today
is not just a wonderful day but we will also make it a day full of learnings.
We are grateful for this opportunity to serve our purpose and commit to the almighty, May I request everyone to
please rise for the invocation and singing of the Nationalistic Song to be led by Ma’am Salvacion Lasig, Grade
6 Teacher, Sir Fidel Catamora Grade 9 Teacher and Ma’am Heidee Matias Grade 7 Teacher.
*Let us all feel the presence of Almighty Father as we offer Him a song of praise.
To kick-off this morning’s program, let us start our day with words of wisdom, to feed our mind and spirit with
positive words of encouragement and inspiration, we are pleased to have with us our industrious, dedicated,
loving and caring mother of San Jose Integrated School, a woman who is never at a loss for words, our beloved
school principal, Ma’am Eva T. Leyesa.

And- just like a meal, I know you are all excited to go to the main course and heart of today’s event.
Our government is committed to address all forms of violence against women, and to strengthen the goal
to protect the human rights of women. To discuss about RA 1172. S. 2006, let me introduce to you our
first speaker, our speaker is known to be a teacher with a good heart. A good husband to his wife. He
took his bachelor’s degree of Secondary Education – Major in Araling Panlipunan at Kolehiyo ng
Lungsod ng Lipa. He is currently a junior high school teacher here at San Jose Integrated School,
teaching EPP, AP, ESP and a Grade 10 Adviser. Teachers, let us welcome our first speaker, Sir Reden H.
Alvarez.

At this juncture, I am sure that we are all excited to listen to our second speaker because his topic is
relevant to us, especially on how to conduct gender-sensitive activities in the learning environment. It is
