Objective:
▪ To practice their skills in creating a network diagram by applying their knowledge of networking concepts such as
devices, cables, connectors, and network designs.
 They will also be able to demonstrate their ability to plan and design a network that meets the needs of a small
company.

Software Requirement:
 Windows PC / Laptop
 Microsoft Office Word /Powerpoint / Photoshop / Canva

Instruction: 1. Read carefully the case study before planning out your activity.
2. Anyone found copying the files of their classmates will have sanctions.
3. The activity will be done by group consisting of a maximum of 5-6 Members.
Case:

Suppose a company with 20 employees has just moved to a new location and needs to set up a new computer
network. The company has one main office with five 5 stations and one conference room where employees
occasionally work. There are two printers and one server that the employees will need to access. The
employees can also access the network through their personal mobile phones, laptops and tablets.

Below are the list of Offices and assigned individuals in each office, the number of workstations or desktops
owned by the office and other digital devices to be used.

What to do:
As part of the IT Services and the Technical Support Team, you were task to create a network
diagram that shows how the various devices in the network are connected within offices in order to
ensure the ease of communication in the office. The diagram should include details such as the IP
Address, types of devices used, the cables and connectors used. You should also include any
additional details or notes that may be relevant to the network setup.

You may use the Floor plan above to plan out the network architecture.

After planning out and design the diagram, present your network set-up in the class thru Powerpoint
presentation.

Using of Images for diagrams from Google is allowed (e.g., icons to be used for routers, modems,
etc.) but no copying of already created network designs or diagrams from the internet. Anyone found
will automatically have zero(0) grade.
