AC.5: To consider the proposal for Introduction of Web enabled M.

Tech program with


specialization in Microelectronics by Electrical Engineering department.

The Board considered the proposal sent by the Head, EE and RESOLVED to recommend to
the Senate for approval for introduction of Web enabled M.Tech program as follows:

Title: M.Tech in Microelectronics


Total Credits: 190
Duration: 3 to 3.5 years

The details vide [Annexure. AC.3] (Page no.34 to 36)

AC.6: To consider the feedback from HoDs on the proposal for minor stream titles and
courses for B.Tech./DD students.

The Board considered the proposal sent by the HoDs for minor stream titles and respective
courses and RESOLVED to recommend to the Senate for approval of the same.

 The minor is awarded based on doing four courses (minimum 36 credits) with in the
approved stream titles and courses.
 Can do two minors without over lapping courses.
 This is applicable from 2018 batch of B.Tech. and Dual Degree.
 The students of 2017 batch who have done the courses for relevant minor apart from this
list can approach the respective department and the same will be considered based on
the recommendation of the department.
 Students cannot claim minor in major degree..
 A course cannot be claimed under two minor.
