community about the COVID-19 and to talk about it I am with
these amazing people they’re our frontliners
Please welcome
Syerene Angcon
Justine Angga
Rona colita
Japheth Braga
Francheska Magbanua
Let’s know and listen to their different opinions and ideas
I am Jasper ariap your host this is the Y-speak
Host: it’s been 2 years and 8 months since the covid-19 has
affected thousands of people, who are sick or are being killed
due to the spread of this disease.
Host: my question is how does corona virus spread?
Syrene(Doctor):people can catch corona virus from others who are
infected ,even if they don’t have any symptoms .this happens when an
infected person sneezes or coughs ,sending tiny droplets into the
air.these can land in the nose or mouth of someone nearby

Some even smaller droplets can linger in the air for minutes to
hours.these are called aerosols.people send aerosols into the air when
they talk or breathe.aerosols can travel on air currents away from
where they started .so corona virus sometimes can spread by
aerosols.this is more likely to happen when an infected person sspends
a long time indoors,in a space with poor ventilations

People also might get infected if they touch and infected droplet on a
surface and then touch their own nose, mouth and eyes.

Host: what are the signs and symptoms of covid-19?

Syrene(Doctor): Covid 19 has many symptoms such as

fever,cough,trouble in breathing,cold,sore
throat,congestion,runny nose,chills and etc
Host: so here’s my additional question for you. What practices
we can do to prevent the spreading of covid-19?and what are
your experiences during this covid 19 pandemic?
Syrene(Doctor): In this time of pandemic we have a lot of
practice that we must do and here are some of it
First, check with your local health authority for the most
relevant guidance for your region and to prevent the spread of
COVID-19:maintain a safe distance from others (at least 1m)
wear a face mask in public ,especially indoors or when physical
distancing is not possible
Second, clean your hand soften. Use soap and water ,or an alcohol-
based hand rub, also cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow
or a tissue when you cough or sneeze. if possible stay at home. If you
have a fever, cough and difficulty in breathing, seek medical attention.

I have many experience in this pandemic ,one time I have a patient that
was already 1 mont admitted, she has a long journey in covid but she
didn’t survive. of course her family is devastated also me because every
time I see patients that are struggling ,I had an heartache,it’s
emotionally torture for us to see our patients fighting and struggling to
fight this virus. I experienced anxiety and we all know everyone
experience this even a normal students. Every medical doctor, nurses
and staffs sometimes have a 12hours duty nonstop,sometimes I
thought in giving people need help and I don’t want to lay in bed and
do nothing .

Host: what can you advice to the people who are watching our program

Syrene(Doctor):My advice in all viewers out there keep fighting, all

things have an end we can make it fight!

Host: so how about you sir (SP01)Justine angga, what are the

movements that the police department do?And how do you handle the
risk of being a front liner?

Justine(Policeman): As part of the of the biggest police department

here in davao city, I am doing my best to secure peace here despite the
pandemic that is going on.The police department is doing its bestand
we front liners are risking our lives to keep the citizens safe.Every
day,we make sure that people always wear face mask and face
shield, especiallyin crowded areas like the market, mall,or even on public
transport. We also have programs for those who violatethis rule and to
teach them discipline.

Host: Do you think that the government set the appropriate

punishment to the violators?

Justine(Policeman): yes of course, the government and the police

department make sure that the punishment is not a form of vio;ence
but to discipline the violators.we apply this as humane as possible

Host: lets give sir Justine some around of applause, thank you sir so lets
move to Ms.Rona,so Ms Rona is a high school teacher at davao central
college. She graduated from Davao Central College as a Bachelor of
Secondary Education Major in Science. In the midst of a pandemic ,she
encounters COVID-19,and now she is a COVID-19 survivor.

Host: so lets give maam Rona a warm welcome.hello maam welcome to
