Objective:
 To impart comprehensive knowledge on the propagation techniques and nursey
management
1. General Objectives of the Course
 To develop the skill of plant multiplication among the students.
 To Provide adequate training in market-relevant skills in plant propagation and nursery
management.
2. Course outcome
Course Outcomes: After completion of the course the students will be able:
CO1: To understand basic principle of propagation of horticultural crops.
CO2: To perform various propagation methods efficiently.
CO3: To equip themselves with techniques of establishment and management of nursery beds.
CO4: To adopt plant multiplication as entrepreneur.
3. Duration of the Course
The duration of the course shall be of four months. (75 contact hours ,1 credit theory +
2 credit practical,Total 3 credits) Each working day shall consist of one hour of Practical work
/theory.
4. Eligibility for Admission
This course can be opted as an skill development by the students of following subjects:
Open to all but special for B. Sc and B.Sc. (Agriculture). Any Candidate who has passed
XII std. with botany or any other equivalent examination will be eligible for theadmission
to the Certificate Course on agrotechniques of medicinal and aromatic plants.
5. Medium of Instruction and Examination
Medium of Instruction will be Hindi and/or English and question papers shall be set in both
Hindi and English languages.
6. Evaluation pattern
Continuous Internal Evaluation shall be based on allotted Assignment and class Testes. The
marks shall be as follows:

i. Theory: Maximum Marks – 50


ii. Practical: Maximum Marks -50
