Introduction:
1.1. Life roles are a set of responsibilities every individual is perceived to
possess, exhibit and act. The two new responsibilities adolescents may have to
assume due to their changing life roles are caring for their possessions and
focusing on their studies.
1
You are pressured to wear certain clothes because that is what your
friends are wearing. This can lead to fights with your parents about the
type of clothes and about the money to buy them.
2
You try smoking, alcohol or drugs because your friends pressured you to
do it. Now you become addicted to it and don't have enough money, so
you decide to steal money from your parents. This can lead to your
parents carrying immense hatred against you, and most likely, they
might disown you.
You miss school because your friend told you to do it. This then puts you
in trouble with your parents, who are liable for your actions.
2.4. Physical changes occurring in the brain of adolescents could cause them to
perceive themselves as all grown up and reject adult authority, including
teachers. As a result, they will function poorly in their academics. Also, during
these changes, their emotional responses are heightened and may fluctuate
depending on the responses they receive from their teacher. If they receive
negative responses, it may affect how they feel and behave at school.
2.5. During this phase of their life, adolescents focus on finding ways to make
themselves popular amongst their peers. As a result, they engage in risky
behaviour to help them fit in. Adolescents are also susceptible to peer
pressure, access, and resistance to treatment, and as a result, they can be
forced to engage in risky behaviours, such as trying out drugs.

3.2. Some of the ways in which adolescent could avoid giving in to exchanging
unhealthy coping strategies include:
3.4. Some of the skills that adolescents could develop to help them make
healthy lifestyle choices include:
Getting enough good sleep helps reduce stress and improves mood. As a
result, the adolescent will be able to think more clearly and do better in
school and work.
Eating a well-balanced diet helps provides adolescents with all the
energy they need to keep active throughout the day. As a result, they
will gain a solid and healthy lifestyle.
Avoiding the use of caffeine and alcohol prevents adolescents from
receiving the bad outcomes that lie from intaking caffeine. As a result,
they will be able to keep up with their daily dose of tasks.

Planning for the world of work:
4.1. Career fields are ways of categorising different types of jobs based on
common similarities. Some of the characteristics include:
A good relationship with your manager
Regular salary increases
Consistent opportunities for growth
Your company is in good financial standing
4.2. It will save the time and resources of the employer and it close the gap
between learning and performance.
4.3. There are many ways for an adolescent to acquire transferrable skills
during school, such as:
Playing for your school's sports team. By doing this, the adolescent will
gain teambuilding skills, where he will learn how to work with others.
Participating in a competition. By doing this, the adolescent will become
creative; as a result, his mind will broaden, and he will be able to think
out of the box.
Taking part in group discussions. By doing this, the adolescent will gain
communication skills where he will have the ability to talk to almost
anyone and possibly make some connections.

Conclusion:
5.1. Adolescents should eliminate distractions such as phones by implementing
new hobbies such as reading books. As it may astray them from carrying out
their goals. They should also break down their future goals into smaller steps
that are manageable. This will help them to stay on the right track and make it
easier for them to focus on their goals.
5.2. Adolescents can ask others about their experiences. Doing this can create
a strong bond where both can exchange their problems and probably relate to
them. As a result, both will begin to understand each other well. Also
adolescents should try to be supportive of others. Offering your time,
experience and expertise proves your value and can help build positive
relationships. By doing this, the person might return the favour back to you
when you need it the most.
5.3. Students should try to work part-time while in school. Having work
experience as part of your degree improves your employment opportunities.
Also, learners should take part in school clubs. School clubs teach learners new
skills that are great when applying for a specific career field.
