 Application scope
Lingvanex Translator is designed to translate text and documents offline.

Description of features
The main functionality of the application:
• translation of unformatted text without volume limitation;
• translation of documents of various formats (Microsoft Office, RTF, TXT, PDF) with
preservation of formatting;
• translation of individual words and phrases;
• search for examples of the use of words and phrases in the online database of examples;
• offline translation;
• text-to-speech conversion.

Technical support
In case of problems when working with a translator, you should contact the technical support
department. You can do this by sending an email ([email protected]). At the same time,
specify the following:
• translator's version;
• the main characteristics of the computer: the type of processor, the amount of RAM, the
amount of free space on the hard disk, the availability of a network;
• characteristics of the software used: Windows/macOS OS version, installed service
packs, localization and regional installations;
• the essence of the problem and the actions that preceded its appearance;
• actions taken to solve this problem;
• when an error message is received - its exact text or a screenshot with this message.

 System requirements
• OS: 64-bit Windows 8.1, 64-bit Windows 10, 64-bit Windows 11;
• Dual-core processor with a clock frequency of at least 1.5 GHz;
• RAM: at least 4 GB;
• Disk space: about 200 MB application, not including offline language packs, offline
package of one language is about 500 Mb;
• It is recommended to have an Nvidia graphics card that supports CUDA technology.

Installation
• 1. Download Lingvanex Translator Offline installer.
• 2. Unpack the archive in case of downloading from the company's website and run the
.msi installation file.
• 3. When you start the application installer, a license agreement window will appear,
which you need to familiarize yourself with, and then you need to accept its terms. In
case of failure, further installation is not possible.
• 4. After accepting the terms of the license agreement, the installation wizard will auto-
matically install all the necessary files.
• 5. After the installation is completed, a completion window will appear, on which there
will be a checkbox field, if you put a checkbox in this field, the Lingvanex Translator
will start automatically after the installer is closed.

Uninstalling
To remove Lingvanex Translator, use the standard Windows application to install and uninstall
programs. In the list of installed programs, take Lingvanex Translator and click the “Delete”
button. The wizard for installing and removing programs will start, which automatically per-
forms all the necessary actions.

 Running the application
To launch the Lingvanex Translator application, click on the “Start” button, type the Lingvanex
Translator command, or double-click on the translator shortcut on your desktop.
After that, the main application window will open in the language that is selected by your operat-
ing system.

 Text translation
To translate a small text, follow these steps:
• Type the text or paste it with the “paste” button in the field:

• Specify the original language or select the “Define language” element to automatically de-
termine it.
• Specify the language you want to translate the text into

• Click the “Translate” button

• The text translation will be displayed in the translation field:

If you select a paragraph in one of the fields, the other field will automatically scroll through the
content until the corresponding paragraph is aligned at the top edge.

Use the window functions as follows:

• To switch quickly between input and output languages, press the button “Swap lan-
guages”.
• To remove text from the source and translation fields, press the button “Clear”.

 • To listen source text or translation, press the button “Play text”. While listening to the

text the button will change to the button . To stop the spoken text, click on the

button while playing the text and it will stop it.

• To change the font of the original text or translation, as well as any piece of text or a sepa-

rate character, click the button and select the name of the desired font.
• To change the font size of the original text or translation, as well as any piece of text or a

separate character, click the button and select the required size.
• To change the font style of the original text or translation, as well as any piece of text or a

separate character, click the button and select the desired indicator.
• To modify the original text or translation, as well as any piece of text or a separate char-

acter, select one of the following buttons .

• Change color and fill of the original text or translation, as well as any piece of text or a

separate character, you can with buttons .

• You can align the original text or translation with the buttons .

• With the buttons you can change the orientation of the fields Original and
Translation.
• To simultaneously resize the text in the fields Original and Translation use the button

• With the buttons you can turn on and turn off the corresponding win-
dows.

• To copy the translation text, click the button in the field Translation.
In addition, you can use standard text editing options
• Copy (keys Ctrl+C) —Copying selected text to the clipboard.
• Insert (keys Ctrl+V) —Adding clipboard contents to text.
• Cut out (keys Ctrl+X) —Moving selected text to the clipboard.
• Cancel (keys Ctrl+Z) —Cancel the last action.
• Return (keysCtrl+Y) —The return of the latter action.

 Document translation
Lingvanex Translator Offline allows you to translate documents in the following formats: pdf,
docx, txt, rtf. Click the “Open”. In the window that opens, select the required document on
your computer. After the selected file, the automatic translation process of the document will
begin:

After the translation is completed, a window will open on your device in which you are asked to
save the document:

* At the moment of translation, you can stop the translation process with the button.
Next, an information window will appear about the cancellation of the operation.

 Bookmarks
To add translated text or word in “Bookmarks” press the button . Then this icon will change
the color and become yellow , that will mean that you saved the translation in Bookmarks
chosen word or text. The bookmark you saved will appear in the corresponding window:

 Assistant “Agent”
Agent Lingvanex Translator is a convenient assistant which situated on top of all windows,
designed to quickly translate text from any other Windows applications that support opera-
tions with clipboard.

Launch of the assistant “Agent”

To start the Agent assistant on the main translator window, click on the button “Agent”
or you can click on the icon in the notification area, after which an assistant window
will appear at the bottom right.
To translate text in Windows application that supports clipboard operations do the following:
1. Go to the settings, enable the "Translate selected text" function and close the
settings.
2. Next go to Windows application from which you need to translate the text.
3. Press and hold the key Ctrl and highlight the text you need.

• To change entrance language, click on the top flag, select the desired list value.
• To change the translation language, click on the lower flag, select the desired list value.

To turn off the mode “up to others windows” re-click the specified button or close the window.

• To hide the “Agent” window, click the button in the upper right corner window.
* If the “Agent” is not in the “upside others windows” then the main program window is
hidden automatically when the focus is lost.
• To change the position of the main window, drag it with the mouse to the free area at
the top or at the bottom of the window.

 Application Settings:

On the page General at Settings you can install, modify, enable or disable the following func-
tions:
• application language of your choice
• the speed of the voice used to voice the translated or posted text for translation
• translate selected text
• translate after pressing the button “Enter”
