1. Introduction
The general wire loops in Tekla Structures include lifting hooks EB_WL* custom
components. They can be used individually or with Wall-Wall_staright component, which
puts them into cast unit of Sandwich wall element.
The wire loops use round rebars. They are of undefined material, which is found in all Tekla
Structures environments.
The default common parameters can be changed on dialog to match your own needs.
Product name is mapped to mainpart’s NAME field. Description and product code are UDA-
fields found in common environment’s objects.inp file. Product code can be used for
example in EPR data transfer.
2. Lifting hooks
There are 3 sizes of wire loops: 80, 100 and 120 mm.
Naming conventions:

3. Sandwich wall
The Sandwich_Wall custom component can be used for creating sandwich elements in
Tekla Structures.
Open the dialog and apply the values. Close the dialog with OK.
Then pick start and end points > Sandwich wall is created between given points. The
definition points are located at inner panel’s bottom corners at insulation side.
Model first two sandwich wall elements side by side with Sandwich_Wall custom
component.
The dialog shows picking order of the panels inside the sandwich walls from 1 to 6. The
needed wire loop can be chosen from component catalog:
Apply the values and close the dialog with OK. Then pick the panels inside the
sandwich walls in shown order. After last pick push the middle button > the connection
is created.
