3. Key concept/Concept
Addition without regrouping means adding digit number in the same place together place by
place and write the sum in the same line with augend and addend by starting with the ones,
hundreds, thousands, tens thousands place respectively. Addition with regrouping is the same with
addition without regrouping but different when we write the sum. Since addition with regrouping
has the sum with 2 digit number so, to write the sum we have to regroup the number to the next
place in the lefthand. There are many methods to find the sum but the well-known method is
short cut method. For addition with three counting numbers, we find the sum from two counting
numbers first then add the sum with the rest number. For solving the addiction problem method,
we start from analyzing the word problem, planning to solve the word problem by writing the
number sentences, show the step of solution then find the answer and also check the reliability of
the answer. For creating the addition stories from the pictures, text or number sentence, we have

to mathematical main idea, create the stories from the given numbers, question, create the
addition stories and solving the addition word problems. The word problem must be appropriated
with real life.
