Reflection On Mapeh
Reflection On Mapeh
Music – Let’s start with Music. In this second quarter, we studied the Folk Songs
of Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan, and Visayas. I discovered a lot about these
places, their vocal music, their instruments, and even the people that live in it. For
Cordillera, their infancy songs such as Owiwi, Dagdagay, etc., Ibalow Badiw—the
signature form of vocal music in Cordillera, and even their instruments such as
Metal, Bamboo, and Strings. For Mindoro, their way of communicating with spirits
and their instruments. Palawan—their music as a representation of the environment
and lastly, Visayas, their music, and the Rondalla instruments.
Arts – We studied the arts and crafts of MIMAROPA and Visayas and also the
festivals. I discovered some of the important crafts that can only be found in our
country. We studied the arts and crafts of every province in MIMARORA
examples of the crafts of MIMAROPA are Ambahan, Urukay, Manunggul Jar,
Patadyong, Mat weaving, and marble products. For the festivals, the Marinduque
Moriones Festival, Ati-than, and Masskara festival. Also places such as Molo
Church of Iloilo.
PE – The highlighted part of this is about Table Tennis and also Badminton. I
enjoyed this part because we got to experience playing badminton for the whole
period. I remember the time when we were so excited to get down just to play
badminton. It was so happy yet so exhausting. Aside from that, we studied the
background and its nature. The rules, the strokes, the grips, and many more. It was
fun studying this part because we got to practical or literal playing not just
studying.
Health – As an adolescent, I can relate to our topics. The changes in the body, even
if it’s emotional, mental, social, physical, and even moral. The changes that we
studied are happening, for me, it’s mostly emotional and physical. Let’s now
move on and go to the other topic which is about healthy eating and malnutrition
and the food pyramid. I realized in this part that my diet is not healthy. I can also
relate to some conditions or disorders that I experienced before, but I’m okay now.
It was fun learning something and experiencing the literal thing that we’re studying
not just reading and more on written works.
