We are pleased to inform you that based on your performance in Tier 1: UID-DAT followed by Tier 2:
Part A: Situation Test (ST) and PART B: Portfolio Evaluation (PE), you are being provisionally offered
admission to the first year of the Bachelor of Design (Hons.) Programme at the Unitedworld Institute of
Design (UID), NCR Campus (in collaboration with G.D Goenka University), for the academic session
2023-24.
The admission is being treated as provisional subject to your fulfilling all the eligibility criteria as specified
by the University and verification of original copies of all your credentials. The academic document
scrutiny & verification shall be done at the time of the commencement of academic session in the month
of July 2023. The dates of the same will be conveyed to you in due course of time.
We are looking forward to your joining the B. Design (Hons.) Programme to embark upon your amazing
creative journey, thus getting you going on a transformative experience that will open doors and give you
exposure to some of the best and brightest minds in the ‘world of design’. Given your academic potential
to excel as a designer, we are sure that you are also looking forward to joining a vibrant student
community that awaits you at UID, G.D Goenka University.
To confirm your admission, you need to make an initial payment of Rs.100,000/- on or before Tuesday
02nd May 2023 (As per the payment instruction provided on the Page no. 5).
Kindly refer to the point B. Cancellation of Admission and the point C. Refund Policy on the next page.
Please note that this offer of admission is subject to the following conditions:
A. General Guidelines
1. All submitted documents shall be verified for the purpose of admission, at the time of
commencement of Academic Session.
2. Payment of the required fees by you as noted under the Fee Schedule before the deadline.
3. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC/ST/PD candidates should submit a certificate in the prescribed format.
4. . In case if the result of the last qualifying exam (12th std. or Last year of your 3 / 4 years Diploma
after 10th std.) is awaited at the time of the document verification process (as specified under A (1)
here) at the time of commencement of the academic session 2023-24 in July 2023, the admission
of such student will remain provisional until the time of submission of the same. The last date of
submitting the final result will be communicated in due course of time.

5. Change of Programme/Specialization:
In case if you want to change your Programme or the Specialization send us an email at
[email protected] and the same will be incorporated without any extra charges before
the date of commencement of the academic session 2023-24.
If for any reason you opt to change the Specialization after the commencement of the
academic session AY (2023- 24), but before the commencement of the End Semester
Examination of the 1st Semester, the same shall be consider subject to the availability of the
seats in the opted specialization and on payment of one time transfer of Rs. 20,000/-.
No transfer shall be considered or entertained after the commencement of the End Semester
Examination of the 1st Semester. Also no transfer shall be considered or confirmed in case of
non-payment of transfer fees or delay in applying for such transfer as mentioned above.
. You must agree to abide by the rules, regulations or standing orders issued by UID and G. D
Goenka University, which are subject to change from time to time.
B. Cancellation of Admission
1. Friday, 02nd June 2023 shall be the cut-off date for the admission process as well as for the
withdrawal of admission for the academic session 2023-24 Hence, after the said cut-off date, no
request for cancellation of admission or request for fresh admission shall be entertained thereafter.
2. To cancel the admission, you will have to login to your UID Application Account and click on the
“Cancellation of Admission”, icon and submit your request any time before 5:00 PM of Friday, 02nd
June 2023. Please note that no emails for cancellation of admission will be entertained.
3. The institute reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage/time in case a candidate does
not fulfil the requisite conditions or fails to submit the required documents or if any of the
documents submitted by the candidate is found false/forged/misleading.
C. Refund Policy
1. In the event, you opt for cancellation of admission before the cut-off date, i.e 5:00 PM of Friday,
02nd June 2023. , you will be refunded the tuition fee of Rs. 60,000/-, out of Rs.1,00,000/- paid after
the deduction of the Non-Refundable admission processing fee of Rs. 40,000/-.
2. In case the admission withdrawal notification is been received after 5:00 PM of Friday, 02nd June
2023. of the mentioned cut-off date, no refund will be applicable.
3. You shall be entitled to a full refund of the fee paid in the event of you getting admission
open/general category on merit (not sponsored, management or NRI quota) at NID (Ahmedabad or
Gandhinagar), NIFT (Gandhinagar, Delhi, Hyderabad or Mumbai), CEPT – Ahmedabad, MICA –
Ahmedabad and all IIT’s subject to submission of the proof of admission confirmation and the fee
receipt of the same.
4. In case if you fail to clear the last qualifying examination (12th std. or Last year of your 3 / 4 years
Diploma after 10th std.), you shall be entitled to a full refund of the fee paid. In this case you can also
request a deferred admission to the next academic year. The total fee paid will be adjusted in the
next academic year. Any increase in fee structure in the next academic year will be applicable (In this
case you will not have to re-appear for the UID’s two-tier evaluation process.)
. All eligible refunds will be initiated in the month of August 2023, once the admission process is
completed.

D. Complaints and Disputes
1. Any dispute arising shall be referred to the arbitrator as per the arbitration and conciliation act.
2. Your acceptance to join the University and deposition of the initial amount shall be taken as your
acceptance to abide by the eligibility criteria and all the other conditions/guidelines stated above.
Non-observance of any of these conditions or violation of any of the rules, regulations, orders etc.
shall lead to your termination from the University
Please read the contents of this letter carefully and note that all students admitted to Unitedworld
Institute of Design, will be required to fulfil the minimum attendance requirement for the programme, i.e.
75% per semester.

B. Design (Hons.) Global Design Programme (GDP) - 4 years (8 Semesters) Rs. 3,75,000 per semester
Tuition Fee to be paid at the beginning of every semester. You will be informed about these dates in
every semester
Please note that the initial amount of Rs. 100,000/- that you will pay to secure the seat, shall be
subsequently adjusted in the tuition fee of the first semester.

If you are willing to avail hostel accommodation, we advise you to pay the total amount of Hostel at
the earliest to avoid any last-minute rush, as the same is strictly available on a first-come-first
serve basis.
Mess facility is compulsory for those students who are availing the hostel facility and the same is
included in the above annual fee.
Hostel Fees is to be paid at the beginning of every academic year. You will be informed about these
dates every year.
Hostel Annual Fee is completely refundable before the commencement of academic year or
allotment (whichever is earlier).
Fitness Club Membership is complementary for the first year and from second year it is available at
Rs. 15000/- per annum (Optional).
If you are residing in Delhi, Gurugram or Faridabad; you may also avail the university’s transportation
facility from the pick-up points to the University.

ANNEXURE -5 Other Expenses
NOTE: For candidates selecting B. Design (Hons.) – Global Design Programme (GDP)
B. Design (Hons.) – Global Design Programme (GDP) is a 4-years full-time degree Programme,
comprising of 14 weeks “Global experiential learning” commencing from Year 2 at our various global
partner Universities. GDP students will be physically spending 14 Weeks i.e., 3.5 Months (approx.)
abroad, each year from second year onwards.
Their international travel, visa, insurance, food, and accommodation / housing expenses, etc. are to
be borne by the student as per actuals
Food, accommodation/housing, local commute and other miscellaneous out of pocket expenses
during these 3.5 months are expected to be approximately US$ 1350 to 1450 per month, which shall
be borne by the students.
Hostel, Mess, and Transportation fees will be charged @70% of annual fees for year 2,3 & 4 during
their study abroad; i.e., from 2nd year onwards.
