Interventions included positioning the patient comfortably, providing a calm environment, encouraging the patient to express fears, staying with the patient during anxiety episodes, teaching deep breathing exercises, and explaining the disease and procedure. After interventions, the patient was able to reduce anxiety and breathe normally at 15 breaths per minute.
